Is this a star ? I captured it with my camera. Could it be the spy balloon?

Antares is in Scorpio, a Summertime southern constellation. However, Orion is out and is beautiful! Betelgeuse, another bright orange star, is often mistaken for Mars and Mars will be by Orion tonight.

Looks like mars to me... it's been closer lately, however, I've been noticing odd amber "stars" lately. Install "Skyview" on any apple device to check for sure. You basically point the camera at it and it will tell you if it is a mapped star/planet.

There is one other time I saw something that I thought was not ordinary like a plane or an illusion . Once before in Mississippi while I was looking out my window at night I saw an oblong shaped pulsating almost plasma opalescent craft hovering in the sky. I remember hearing police sirens. That was probably ten years ago. I’ll never forget it.

Actually, Uranus is over by the moon tonight.

Arcturus is up north not in the west. Follow the arch of the big dipper and it points to Arcturus.

It would be nice if I can screen capture parts of the video and zoom in

I want a good telescope. Something affordable. but can do it’s job pretty nicely . One that will take pictures.

Ayyy that's what I use. Loved the desktop program so much I had to have the app they ported to android.

I've got a Galaxy S22 Ultra. First new phone I've gotten in about 6 years. The camera is top notch for a phone.

I've zoomed in on stars or planets here with a cheap telescope and Saw a crazy flashing like that, I just figured it was different gasses causing different color spectrums but idk . Definitely cool though.

When it clears up here I will definitely look to see if it is there again. It was a little later than twilight. Just dark.
