Your choices, words and actions have meaning. It’s easy to convince many that there is no meaning in this life: “do what thou wilt” but there’s a little more to it once the meat suit is gone.

I find that most or everybody who criticizes the Bible - usually have not read it. I was there once.

How do I know that it's not a lie? I took it at face value, and it changed my life.

But don't believe me... ask God yourself... Ask the Most High God about the veracity of the Bible. He'll tell you, if you:

- Ask aloud.
- Ask sincerely.... not like you are testing God.

While you're at it... tell God that you want to know Him better... not just from your head, but from your heart as well.

In fact if you say / pray this then open up your Bible, or go to www biblegateway com and search for something in the New Testament... then God will speak to you through the Bible more than likely.

Did not say he asked for father not to die, was praying to get love, comfort, and I assume assurance that his father would be okay after death.

Why does the Bible have conflicting opinions on life after death, why do some bible believers stay convinced of soul sleep in the grave, knowing nothing and feeling nothing, while others believe the soul leaves the body at death and goes to be with God in heaven. The Bible offers little assurance for those who have doubts that their dying loved one was ‘saved’ or was good enough to deserve eternal life, or are afraid loved one will become gone completely to the grave, no longer alive, or whether he had confessed all sins and was forgiven before dying and will go to a good place. It’s easier to just reject all the confusion and dread for the loved one’s fate caused by the poor information given in the bible and walk away, no longer give it any thought or credence.
