Do you say to yourself. I don’t even know what it means to be happy anymore.

Let me tell ya, I've been worrying about people my whole life (even if I didn't know them); even as a little girl I would deliver hand picked flowers to the sad old lady across the street to make her smile. And, I carried it into every damn relationship, caring for everyone else. Trying to make sure everyone got what they wanted tangible or otherwise. I even worried about people who freaking hurt me, cut me down, demeaned me for their own pleasure, then *poof* died after taking advantage of me..just basic reduced me to a worm and that was their outcome. Hell, I even worried about picking up worms after the rain to save them. Fucking nuts.

Today, some amazing thought came over me out of nowhere. I don't know if I can even describe the catharsis..

"I'm just gonna pretend they're all dead." They can bury each other. Boy, that thought alone made me feel better.

I was/am so much happier without caring for anyone, now I truly need to stop caring for what people have said about me.

Maybe you feel alone

What if I told you, you are being set apart.

You might be mad at God

It’s better to be cold or hot than lukewarm. (Being mad at God in my opinion would be very cold or very hot if you believe that strong but are honestly mad with him)

But let’s say you are lukewarm. Don’t stress. Don’t have anxiety. Don’t have shame. Just really sit down and see what you want to know by believing in God. And what it means that Jesus died on that cross 2k years ago. So you can be alive.

Maybe you are despised and mocked by the world

What if I told you, you are his. You are with Jesus Christ.

Jesus said rejoice when you are laughed at or despised or mocked in my name.

Why? Because you are living for Heaven. You have been chosen for eternal life.

Maybe you don’t care to help others

What if I told you, that perspective might change if you allow Jesus to help you get through life’s trials. To embrace Jesus healing hand in your life. When you see his Grace it changes a person. It’s humbling. It’s hopeful.

Maybe you believe you don’t have purpose

What if I told you, you are learning about the various spiritual gifts God has given you. It takes time to fully see this and trust this.

Being Happy is difficult.

Even Jesus himself had moments of great sorrow. Great emotional pain.

He asked his disciples to stay awake and pray. They fell asleep. You don’t think that brought sorrow to Jesus.

He also had pain dying on that cross

And also a sense of abandonment

Even though he knew he was going to go the underworld and conquer death, and rise again 3 days later. He still felt abandoned. GOD.

What I’m getting at is that even our Lord had sadness

So he knows exactly, as a human, what it means to not be happy

But he also knew what it was like to be happy

I know I discussed this before but when the Roman guard showed Jesus great faith, Jesus was amazed.

I know it’s difficult to be happy sometimes

But allow yourself to be happy

Read a good book. Listen to some music.

Trust God. Trust he has a plan. And trust you are part of his plan.

I noticed in my life when I started getting really down and not happy anymore, I was straying from my path with God. I see when I go back towards God. I feel new. I feel whole. So maybe you just need to pause and see what’s the best move forward with a good clean mind and a uplifted spirit loving God and others.

In all things you do, do in love

Please don’t be down on yourself that you might not be happy

Just know God is the merciful loving Father.

He wants you to be happy

Heaven wants you to be happy

I want you to be happy

You are like the only one not wanting you to be happy!

And I have been there many times!

So keep moving forward. One day at a time.

Be kind to yourself.

Keep love on your mind

That’s why I said Jesus said rejoice if the world despises you and says all kinds of bad speech in his name towards you. For yours is the kingdom of Heaven. Your reward is great in Heaven.

Blessed are the poor in spirit. For the kingdom of heaven is theirs.

I agree there is more than just being happy. But sometimes for one to see the comfort and joy in their lives they need to be encouraged and uplifted a little bit. A little help. From one believer to another. It is our duty to speak life and truth. To offer peace and kindness. To be a peacemaker. Jesus said the peace makers will be called the children of God.

Many times I think about Jesus saying blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted. At times I am so down and then Jesus just makes me smile it’s wonderful. He really does comfort me. Like he says.
