I have since assembled and read an extensive collection of flat-earth literature. The Biblical arguments for flat-earthism that follow come mainly from my reading of flat-earth literature, augmented by my own reading of the Bible. [link to www.cantab.net (secure)] |

The pilot pointed out that you could see Denali a full 155 miles away! We were south of Anchorage on approach. As we descended, the mountain quickly disappeared below the horizon when we got down to around 20,000 feet. Even though we were getting CLOSER to the mountain. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 84665480 If the earth’s not round, please explain that. It's called perspective. If the earth was really round you wouldn't been able to see that mountain at all from that distance, no matter how high up you went. |

If the earth was really round you wouldn't been able to see that mountain at all from that distance, no matter how high up you went. Wrong. There are line of sight calculators online. It’s well within the distance you can see from 35,000 feet…. Especially since it’s a 20,000 foot mountain. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 81104226 Flat earthers suffer from a dibitatating mental illness similar to transgenderism, and like trannies, they get pissed off to the point of attacking people when you don't live in their fantasy land. Of course, conflate a belief in a flat earth with trannies. Typical glowtard tactics. Also what you describe in bold sounds more like what a typical muslim does. |

So if it's not far enough away to be behind curvature, why would it then disappear behind the "horizon" when you went lower in altitude? Does that really explain a curved earth or just an effect from your eyes perspective? |
