I've never purchased Mountain House's prepared entrees (because I don't want MSG in my food if possible), but I've purchased the freeze dried meats and I've been happy with my purchase. |

These eat into and absorb the plastic lining. It is best to buy these in jars instead of cans. "I am not afraid to stand alone, but it's always more fun if I have friends standing with me." As long as the ends are still depressed, meaning that it still retains the original vacuum from the canning process, it is usually OK. Another mess I had was soda pop. After time, it leaks through the cans and leaves a syrupy puddle and the chipboard case gets glued to the floor. (doh) There were no holes in the can and the seal wasn't broken, but there were hollow cans and a fucked up mess lol I had some pepsi, coke, that expired in 2004 and this osmosis thing happened in 2007. |

I have purchased everything from beans to winter wheat, powdered eggs, and milk, freeze dried vegetables and fruit from Honeyville Grain and have not been disappointed.
