I'm somewhat surprised that we haven't had a large earthquake since the Nisqually quake with all the earthquakes happening around the world. It's kind of spooky how quiet it's been around here. I made plenty of provisions since then. Quoting: PNW2010 1298807 I was next to the viaduct watching the light poles swaying back and forth waiting for it to crumble, but it didn't. Memories of the viaduct in California crumbling came to mind. That was the quake that made me realize how vulnerable we really are. The main reason I keep provisions, water, food, generator, fuel, etc...... is for a major earthquake, because I live far away from any major city (probably a good thing). We have so many bridges around the Puget sound area. A major quake could really get ugly. I just hope I'm home and not at work when the supposed big one hits because work is 87 miles away. I have options but rather not have to use them if I'm away and it hits. EDIT: Hey neighbor, guess who? I'll give you a hint........winch.
