Anonymous Coward User ID: 78701601 Belgium 07/20/2021 12:21 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Some days my eyes get so bright, people ask me if I'm wearing fake contacts. My eyes are very sensitive to light. I think that is one of the reasons I prefer grey, darker days. At times they become deep blue, but it all depends on my mood or weather. It's actually quite weird. Anyways, why would my eyes be so sensitive in Sun light? I know other people who have green, brown, hazel, and even blue who do not have this problem. I have never met anyone with the type of blue eyes I have, however. They get extremelely bright and piercing. I have done some searches on it, but never really came up with a logical explanation. If I shut my eyes, I can alomost see everything around me and when it is dark, I can still see (not 100%), even without my contacts. I'm somewhat baffled by this. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1562698 I have extremely bright piercing clear ice blue (pretty much transparent) eyes. My sisters do too. So do my kids. My husband's eyes are almost as blue. I also have extremely long natural platinum blonde (almost white) hair, that is very shiny silky, fine and thick(in the amount not texture of course). My skin is extremely fair and impossible to tan. I wouldn't tan even if I could. Tan skin would look weird with me having such blonde hair and blue eyes. My sisters have the same features I do. Yes my eyes are very sensitive to light. Same with my sisters and my husband and kids. We don't wear sunglasses as we believe they do more harm than good. We don't wear sunscreen. That stuff is toxic and causes cancer. Bright sunny summer days and even fall and spring days can be rough for us, particularly if hiking or driving in unshaded areas. We just take breaks if the sun is getting to be too much for our eyes and try to avoid hiking, being out in, and driving in unshaded areas as much during the brightest part of the day. We do see very well on the dark. People always comment on how well we see in the dark . We do have to be very careful in the sun too as we burn very easily. Even our sweat burns are doing that's how fair and sensitive our skin is. We do get lots of compliments on our hair and eyes. People always tell me I have the bluest, brightest, lightest, most beautiful eyes they've ever seen. My sisters get similar compliments. People constantly compliment me on my hair too. They tell me I have the longest blondest, shiniest, silkiest, healthiest, most beautiful hair they ever seen. Many people nickname me Rapunzel because my hair is so long. Some nickname me Platinum Rapunzel since my hair is naturally platinum blondes. Plattylocks is another nickname I get too. My sisters get those compliments and nicknames too as they also have extremely long hair. Some nickname us the Rapunzel Sisters, or the Platinum Rapunzel Sisters. Me and my sisters are and have always been very close. We're like a team. Of course me and my husband are a team too. My family and my husband's family are very close with each other too. And we are very proud of being white and very proud of our very beautiful very Nordic heritage and genes. You sound like one freaky demonic scary bitch!!! |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 78701601 Belgium 07/20/2021 12:22 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I also have bright blue eyes, and feel your pain. I don't think my case is quite as extreme as what you're describing though. However, I do insist on wearing sunglasses anytime that I go outside. Sometimes if I'm sitting by a window, I'm even tempted to wear them inside. Quoting: Dease There's a scientific explanation to it. Before people migrated to places other than their native land, everyone in one location had similar features. People with bright blue eyes typically lived in very cold places like Switzerland for instance where the sun would rarely shine. These people also had very light skin because they didn't need much melanin to protect them from suburn. People in places like Africa typically had darker eyes and skin to protect them from the sun. Their darker sin caused them to absorb the sun rather than burn. Hey Dease, how ya doin'? :) Yeah, I am fair skinned, just like most British people are. The weird thing is, my dad was born in Serbia, who are mostly darker skinned and can tan. It is hard for me to tan. I wear sunglasses, but they still aren't enough. I also have sensitivity problems during grey weather as well, but not as much. I mean, some days my eyes get so bright they look artificial. People complement me on them, but that doesn't change how sensitive they are.......lol. Yeah, Hitler woulda loved me. Blonde haired, blue eyed, fair skinned male. lol You sound like you'd be very handsome. I have always loved and been attracted to blonde, blue eyed, fair skinned men. The blonder, bluer eyed and fairer skinned the better. That of course is why I married a very Nordic, very blonde, bright ice blue eyed white man and had kids with him. We have 3 already and plan to have more. Btw we're in our late 20's. You both sound like freaky scary demonic freaks you'd be perfect for each other!! |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1562698 I have very green eyes and I suffer from the same issue. Sometimes normal days are so bright it causes my eyes to water. Interestingly enough, my night vision is very good but it’s sorta odd. Let’s say an object like a lighter is laying on the ground at night. If I look directly at it, I cannot see it. Avert my gaze slightly(look an inch or two away from the object) and all of a sudden I can see it. Almost like a magic trick it vanishes and reappears when I adjust my gaze haha |
