I am well over fifty and have a child at home - let her finish high school, for heaven's sake!

and as for returning children, hey, I may welcome it at some point.

That is what families are for.

But freeloading, unappreciative "kids" - now that would not be nice.

It's better abroad here in Asia... anywhere is better than the UK or northern europe if you are broke.

I was thrown out when I turned 18, and I was forced to survive in this world. I have done very well for myself. That is, in my opinion, the BEST thing you can do for your kids. Coddling a 40 year old who's living in your home is doing NOTHING for them.

i moved back in with my folks
got a trade in automotive, andm y wife has a degree in dental assisting, she couldnt find work after a year of looking, 3.7 gpa also

it tough to get your foot in the door once youget a degree, they want people with exp, but how can a person get exp with out given a chance?

so yea screw college, my wife makes more money by working her way up in a sporting goods store

and i work in the oil feild

moved home so i can get a job in the oil feild and save money so we can buy our own place

sad but true


and i pay bills ect so im not free loading

so before anyone bitches, we make about 70k a year together,pay 50% of household bills

but i have noticed alot of kids returning to the coop, unless you got lucky most college grads are just getting by

australian houses are the most expensive in the world...

an average detached house in my home town UK is $500,000 - and that's a small one. Then you'll have insane bills per month, and heating etc.

In Oz you can throw up a wooden shack...

Europe was full a few hundred years ago... that's why we shipped you lot to Australia

I dont understand these kids.

I couldnt wait to finish high school and move the fuck away from my parents. Its not that they were terrible in any way, its that I wanted my own place, where I made all of my own decisions, and could do what I wanted to, with no one breathing down my neck or badgering me.

So once high school was done I said bye bye and got the fuck out as soon as possible.

We baby boomers were the last generation of non-losers in this country. I remember we couldn't wait to leave home and be on our own.

Then the Generation-X losers came along and the country has been going to shit every since.

You cannot compare the US, Can or OZ to the UK.
The UK has 63,000,000 people crammed into a space one third the size of Texas.

It's fucking full, and only ghettos left for those not already on the property ponzi ladder.
