If anything positive has came from this , it is that I've got a small..albeit very small, taste of what it would be like to be stuck in even a small city without drinkable water. The community here did very well, all things considered, but I can only imagine a large inner city in a place much different than this small "country" town where people are more capable to take care of themselves, or are able to visit relatives seemingly close by that have all they need. New York, Chicago, Atlanta, L.A. ?? It would be a complete disaster!!! I'm very fortunate to work and live in here.

My point is more garbage men die every year picking up your shit than firemen do throwing water about!

Why?
Because this nation has been brainwashed into thinking and/or treating police officers as the local every day "hero" because of their "job".
Ever since I was a child I have never under stood this mentality.
YOU sir are the one who should be looked upon as a "hero".
By "you" I mean you and all firemen. You put your life in some incredibly dangerous positions and never receive the appreciation that is due.
I know most people will say... aw shut up because "thats your job".
Yes, they are right. What they do not understand is your job is to save lives. No one ever sees a video of a fireman beating the shit out of someone they are called to help, yet every day there is a new video of the so called "heros" in law enforcement shooting, beating, arresting or harassing some innocent bystander.

I do too but I think the State may have some responsibility in this as they have very lax regulations on that type of facility.

They've only owed the plant for a few months. It is the previous owners who skipped town knowing this was a disaster ready to happen. The previous owners are VERY much responsible and neglectful.
