What? Every melted reactor is three time worse than Chernobyl was. Where do you think? sssssssssssssssssss
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1140757

You believe in Pseudo-Science Flower

Chernobyl's Core exploded and burned for at least 10 Days,
something like this never happened in Fukushima Daiichi!
(Explosion Vs. Melt-Down)

Chernobyl lost at least 25% of the nuclear Inventar,
Daiichi lost ca. 2%
(which is a lot)

The US was using chemtrails many years before Fukushima before 2005. My question is: Why didn't the governments of the globe step in and help Japan with this emergency? It looks to me like they don't believe it matters whether or not Fukushima is addressed. The reason is because a much more intense and faster ELE event is coming soon that they cannot stop, making Fukushima moot as it concerns an ELE event. Since we are all going to be hit with a sure ELE event soon why spend efforts on Fukushima?

There is "no Problem" to stop the Canadian/ Australian Uranium Mining,
when they really "want" to do this they just stop it!

Look for Japan, we stopped every single nuclear Power Station
and replaced 30% of our needed Energy with CO2 Producing Fossil Fuel Plants with a immense Price for this Fuel as well as environmental!

There is a Way and when Canadian/ Australian People want to participate in a meaningful Way they would do something and sacrifice a bit of their decadent, parasite Lifestyle!

I agree with you. Yes the production and use of energy in this time has to be addressed, in order of priority. There is a critical path.

And at this time there is a plant leaking radiation into the biosphere,
into the systems that make life possible for life as it is known.

To distort this event or to discourage examination logically is to shill and
a betrayal of those whose lives have and are being effected by this now and will continue to generations into the future that will inherit the disaster...

If there is actually a solution that can be implemented in time...

& to date there has been much failure, in large part due to underestimating the complexity of the situation with Fukushima and in/ by the negligence of the primary contractor Tepco. From the initial plant design to containment/ remediation.

Re: Is FUKUSHIMA an ELE ?
well, the corium is in liquid form (6000 to 10000 degrees Fahrenheit),
and, consequently, contrary to popular belief, the molten
Uranium and Plutonium will not be mixing with all the
other molten garbage, but, rather, being the heaviest,
the Plutonium and Uranium is all settling to the bottom
of the corium pool, and is just getting purer and purer and hotter and hotter
as time goes on (due to buoyant stratification).

this ultra pure Uranium and Plutonium at a temperature of
more than 10000 degrees Fahrenheit cannot be a good thing
(and that's putting it mildly)

In my cultural context I do as well, I am ashamed that asbestos is mined and sold in a form that kills people, among the other ethically questionable issues that the Canadian government fails to consider.

But if Fukushima is not "fixed" soon ... there will not be a possibility to address the this or the other things... will there?

And Fukushima is not Japans problem, my friend, it is the worlds, as it is and will continue effecting the biosphere in a profoundly negative way.

Therefore it should be the priority, above all other concerns, wars, sporting events, arguments over climate change, space exploration, etc.

Those responsible for this disaster go beyond Tepco and the other corporations such as GE and the governments that allowed it. Perhaps even beyond the fellows that will meet, that you mentioned but all that are involved should be held accountable and responsible to the 7 billion+ human lives on this planet.

The star fish & other aquatic species mass die offs could be linked to other factors such as the state of the oceans. Regardless everything is interconnected and in some way the radiation is not helping their survival and at this point in time it is obviously difficult to connect all the dots of how the radiation is/ will effect the earths biosphere quantifiably to the satisfaction for most. But it is effecting it. From the organisms localized to Fukushima and beyond. Especially when considering the amount of resources spent on the shill. If before it was questionable to eat seafood due to the heath risks, it now has become exponentially more so.

And how can the sources that say everything is "safe" be trusted?
when that same source misrepresented the risks of nuclear energy and the ability to manage it, that led to the disaster.

In my Cultural Context i look for my Problems first before i criticize others for their Difficulties!

There will be a next INES7 soon and it is up to the Uranium Producing Countries to go for a Retreat.

Your Country is the Dealer of a killing Drug and your Country is as much Responsible as the Heroin Dealer in the White House.

You need to inform your self in the right Way,
since Day One Fukushima is a International Problem
and tried to get solved in a interdisciplinary and international Manner!

That Tepco is alone in Daiichi and can do what ever they want is wrong
and i mentioned it since 2011 already!

The US, the UK and the EU are all involved!

Daiichi got and get fixed, do you try to imagine how it would look alike
when Tepco done nothing?

Do you really understand how a Triple Melt-Down could look alike
in the worst case?

I doubt it Flower

How is the international community involved beyond the horse & pony show?

It is far from fixed you don't even understand the state of the LFCM,
have not been able to examine it properly as nothing can get near it.
Hence the requirement to develop robots. How can you even understand the full scope of what you are dealing with? If you do, explain...

How will it be contained/ remediated?

Riddle me this,
