Quoting: beeches otherwise, good for you! Tell us how you feel, other than the revulsion at the junk on the store shelves. Which I feel too. From "you're not fat, you're toxic" A 20 year Harvard study of 120,000 people found that the five most fattening foods are: 1. Potato chips. 2. Potatoes. 3. Sugar-sweetened drinks. 4. Red meat. 5. Switched from Beef to Turkey, hardly any breads or cereal, went from a gallon of milk a week to a pint, and been Mtn. biking at least 10 miles a day somewhere...... 63 miles since Saturday. Quoting: sreglof23 Well I've noticed when I go to the grocery store I almost get sick looking at some of the shit on the shelves. No wonder kids are fat and people have so many problems. Good water, fresh clean food, and exercise is the way to go try whole foods or trader joe's |

Good water, fresh clean food, and exercise is the way to go Yep, it's extremely difficult to eat a healthy diet. I found that out after cardiac bypass surgery in 2009. Everything is loaded with sodium, fat, preservatives and fillers. Many places sell sub-standard produce that I wouldn't feed my dog. In AZ we have a place called Sprouts that has great produce at good prices but it can be a pain to have to do your grocery shopping at 2 or 3 different places. |

I gave up dairy finally, it's only been about 6 weeks and stomach issues went away. Gave up gluten about a year ago. Stopped eating meat just for a few months I plan to start eating it again in the winter. I hardly eat at all, a smoothie or two a day and salad. Won't you come into the garden? I would like my roses to see you. Richard Brinsley Sheridan |

Corporate raised beef is not healthy and not a good source of protein. There is a good local source to be found with a little research, it is worth the time to get quality. Way to go OP, you are an inspiration. I love you. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 60945886 Ireland 07/30/2014 10:08 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Damn right. Specially in Ireland! I was in Dunnes the other day and they'd moved stuff around. I asked an assistant where the lentils were - she looked puzzled and said "with the vegetables I think" - honestly didn't know what lentils were. I love Ireland but they're stuck in the early 20th century as far as food's concerned - probably different in Dublin, but here in the wild west... basically if you don't want bacon and cabbage you're fucked. |

But on the bright side you'll be getting more insights and guidance from your higher self/soul/spirit than you probably ever imagined. It's no wonder there are tens of thousands who've "gone" breatharian and haven't looked back. My theory is that humans were never supposed to eat. Quoting: AC 53335602 Show us even 1 proven breatharian. Just one would change everything we know about human biology and show the way to solving world hunger. Please, show us 1 documented proven live example. Then you can reexamine your claim of tens of thousands. |

(are what you eat) *takes 20-50 times the amount of water to produce 1 kilogramme of meat ... food for thought: The standard diet of a person in the United States requires 4,200 gallons of water per day (for animals' drinking water, irrigation of crops, ... etc. etc. etc. [/quot] Oops, pushed the wrong button. I am not sure what I am supposed to do with those thoughts I just chewed on... Take the average American and wring the water out of him? Last Edited by Seerose on 07/30/2014 10:15 AM |

I agree, its almost like they push the snack/junk foods and hide all the healthy foods. Our local stores have here have sections with 100% natural foods, but there isn't much. |

DO NOT BUY IT Quoting: ~Awakened One~ ohhh...don't drink the mountain holler, they don't even drink that in appalachia...trust me, I know, I grew up there. OP, you are so right. It is so hard going to the grocery store, cause ironically there isn't much there that should be considered edible. The problem is where is the healthy food unless you grow it yourself. Quoting: sreglof23 Look for a local farm and see if they offer some kind of weekly CSA box. oh and PLANT MORE next time :) Growing all your own food is virtually impossible by yourself. For one person I think I did pretty good and I work full time and bike about 60 or 70 miles a week. |
