Op please ( i believe what you are saying) put forth the effort to say the vicinity of "duty station" there are alot of people out there who's lives depend on others putting the info out to help. I realise your situation with reference to not wanting to get anyone in trouble, you would not be doing that, for every duty station there is more than one person at it. So please OP be more descriptive please on place and thing... please

I'm not a fear monger or a doomtard by any means, just thought I would put this out there just incase.

This afternoon I received a call from a dear friend who has a child in the AF. She sounded a little strange and when I asked her if she was okay, she said, "I'm not sure what to make of the phone call I just got from *****, maybe you can shed some light on this since you were in the military. She proceeds to say:

The past few weeks **** has been doing a lot of partying and posting pictures of drinking etc. As a parent you don't want to see your child making bad decisions, so we have had some words about it. Our conversations have been tense and very brief lately.Today she calls me and I can sense she has something to say and I finally ask what is going on? Do you need to tell me something?

Her child then starts crying and apologizes for past behavior etc....

Child: Mom, we had a debriefing this morning. I need for you and dad to prepare yourselves and the rest of our family. Something is going on, Something is going to happen.

Mom: Are you going to be deployed overseas? War?

Child: No! We are not going anywhere, THEY are coming here, probably already here.

Mom: Who is they?

Child: I can't say anything else. I can't discuss this any further, just stay safe and don't freak out, be smart and be safe.

She then starts talking about ports, cargo ships and the coastlines.

This Airmen is a MP/nuclear detail.

You know I am old & feeble. but I refuse to go down w/out a fight. any kind. If I can't I am ready to meet my maker. don't be so scared u can't be smart & think clearly when shtf. down here we keep hurricane supplies year round.. We are used to them trying to storm the port of n.o.. Every damn redneck in this country has 3 guns or more. no need to be upset. just be prepared. call your mom & tell them ulove them & where to meet up if shtf. You may have to bug out, so get what u can. mypurse woldlast me 3 days. but I sure couldn't carry a damn full pack with me any where. so get your batteries, water nn elec can opener & canned food. If is is a bomb, it will destroy your plants. THEY WANT US TO BE AFRAID.. OKAY.. SO WE ARE MAD NOW.. I refuse to get crazy w it.. don't know.. just Prepared , not scared. who knows. may not happen.
I htink our puppet is scared. pres.o. I heard him say.. go buy a gun everyone. NOt after he got a call telling him to go play golf. this is why we have a great military.
so many things could go wrong, for them too! I would be happy to take one to heaven w/ me. lol.

Be carefull ppl about buying frozen goods after a thaw out. no matter what the store owner tells ya. I get sick every time.. ( I forget.)
The military is upset. they are preparing for every thing too. poor babies... Ilove my son, but told him.. don't come back for me.. I will meet u up theroad. He could die coming back for me. I want him to live. I can't walk & he says the roads & rivers will be shut down first.

I'm not saying it's BS, but if the airman knew something, wouldn't he/she elaborate more? Sounds like he/she is keeping mom guessing. If a member of my family knew something, I doubt if he or she would keep it a secret from us.

My ex worked for the government and called and told us not to go to NYC during a certain week. I can't remember when it was, but it was after 9/11. Nothing ever happened that I know of.

When real people are dealing with information that can cause the deaths of real people if it’s disclosed. When they truly understand the gravity of the situation and accept the responsibility. Then yes, you will keep it a secret from your own family.

As evidence of this thread, even close family members will leak, when they are told not to at the risk of tragedy to everyone.

The only time you would say anything to a person is when YOU know that the person also understands the responsibility that you bestow on them with the information, and the gravity of it’s responsibility. And you have to know they have the willpower to uphold that duty to keep that information secure. For you put your life, and the life of everyone around you in their hands, when you do.

In my countless family members, and friends, there is only one person that is still alive that I would trust with such information. He use to work in a nuclear weapons unit. The government gave him that trust. He still won’t tell me what he did all those years ago. Stuff that has happened over 50 years ago. He will take those secrets to his grave.

That is a person whose devotion I will not question. And he is the only one I know that I would trust such a secret to. For I know, no mater what happens, he will take it to his grave if the situation requires it.

It’s been 13 years since the last attack. The Islamists have been planning their next attack for this long. Good only know what they have in store. Good only knows what they will try to do.

So I am in a disposition to take their threats seriously.
