The building was not finished yet, and could not be appraised for insurance purposes until it was finished. Where do you doofuses come from? Can't insure a building under construction? That's funny because I've done it several times. It might depend on what insurance company he has. Some are rather picky. My youngest daughter bought another car in September, a newer used car. Her old car had just liability. She went right from the dealer to the insurance company to pay the insurance for her new car, which has full coverage, BTW. Under the insurance she had on the old beater, if anything happened to her new car BEFORE she got to the insurance office, all that would have been covered was the basic liability. So, if her new car got totaled on the way to the insurance company office, she would have lost all the money she paid for the new car. Like I said, it depends on the insurance company. Hmm. My dealership contacted my insurance company first to get a temporary policy on that day while they work on the new policy and give us in a few days. The insurance agent wanted all the paperwork on the car, vin, price, mileage, etc, BEFORE they would write the policy. Praise God from Whom all Blessings flow !!! |
