But even your kids won't remember you as "You". They will remember specific stories, events, and anecdotes starring "you", but even THEY won't remember the "you" who preferred daisies to roses, or who liked pineapple on your pepperoni pizza, or who loved the smell of burning leaves in the Fall and woodstove smoke in the Winter.

I know a lady who is sort of experiencing this already. She was a friend of my parents, and she's 97 years old now. All of her friends and family have died, her husband died long ago, her two children died before they had a chance to reproduce so she has no grandkids. She has two nurse/caretakers and a cat. There are very few people who remember her in this World, and she is still alive. And even those who remember her (like me) remember the "her" of 50 years ago; I could probably be on an elevator with her and wouldn't recognize her as she looks now.

I guess my point is that Life is transitory, and perhaps the best way to be "remembered" is to keep a journal and write down your thoughts, feelings, observations, etc.

Very deep and so true. I have considered this myself. And so why are we here? I wish I knew the answer to that.

I will always remember this quote from Goodfellas by Al Pacino, which is 100% relevant to this thread:

Ive already lived a good life i just want to see my last child raised on then spend some good time with my family then kick the bucket .only if i could be so lucky and also show them the truth in jeuses christ

Earth was just a test for us to see how would do,I think that's what interest god free will and all something angels didn't have

Many rewards for how many you passed.
But one trick to it is you have no memory of anything before you were born.

So its based on what's really in your soul which way you turn when the test comes

So, They'll be a point in time when every particle that has ever existed on earth has broken down and no memory of those particle will even exist.

And at that point it will be exactly the same as if none of this ever even happened!
