Theory: The real cause of psychopathy?

Psychopaths are more and more idolized in today's society. Some see them as some kind of super humans. Most see them as dangerous individuals though and a threat to society.

Psychopathy was from the beginning called "moral insanity"... Persons who lack morality or the ability to discern between right and wrong. They are regarded as people who more or less lack conscience. The condition may be caused by something else though...

Studies have shown psychopaths have an impaired sense of smell compared to other humans. They especially have problems with telling different kinds of smells apart. So...not being able to tell good and bad apart and also smells? On top of that they have trouble with recognizing certain facial expressions, particularly fear.

Could all of this be part of the same thing and the cause of mentioned condition? That psychopaths have a problem discerning between things in general? I've also intuitively made a connection between some "WT-people" and psychopaths. The former lack taste, maybe psychopaths also do?

Psychopaths are also said to have poor taste in music. Either they copy what others are listening to, or play music that people they currently are hosting would like to listen to. I've also under the impression they sometimes dress badly, they try to copy but get it wrong. This perhaps because of an overall lack of taste or class? The former would also account for their supposed shamelessness.

This is just a theory or hypothesis but... Could What is among other names known as "psychopathy" in fact be an all pervading lack of discernment in these individuals?
