Yes, the exact opposite ! I ran rigs in the Permian and few other various areas. Most time spent in West Texas/New Mexico. Had a guy get hired on from NY. Die hard Democrat. Word about him spread to a couple of our rigs and needless to say the workplace "environment" on those rigs was rough for him.

This is really happening. I agree. And it has set back the whole women in the workplace thingy.

What I don't agree on is that MOST women wanted it or brought it on.

It's like someone from Europe blaming you for Obama's election... because Americans voted for Obama.

Lets face it it isn't us normal people in the trenches who are responsible for the insane way our society is going. The useful idiots didn't think it up either. It's deeper than that.

That's why everyone needs to start identifying and labeling people based on their politics/ideology instead of any other trait.

When the president called Stormy Daniels a "horseface" instead of something like a "sleazy liberal" or at least something along the lines of a "leftist horseface," he's a good example of people focusing on every aspect of other people beyond whether they're a dumb liberal or not.

I've heard guys make it sound like a female politician is automatically worse than a male one, focusing on the genitals of a council member/mayor/governor/president rather than whether that person is a dumb liberal or not.

A conservative female (and not a RINO or closeted liberal) will always be preferable to a raunchy liberal like Obama/Biden/Bill Clinton/etc.

As a man I can't stand working around women for the most part. Don't get me wrong I think a significant portion of women are awesome out there but all it takes is triggering the wrong one and you are out of a job.

When working with females I feel like I have to walk on egg shells and muzzle my mouth or risk offending one of the princesses. While working with men I can discuss controversial things and still remain civil and I never have to worry about getting fired around men because we watch out for each other. Where as women I have to keep my back against the wall last I get stabbed in the back.

Well, they almost have me convinced that there are few real women after all, thank God for GLP Babe's!!!

Women are beautiful and I can't help but notice them. I'm genetically programmed to notice them. Our work has started hiring A LOT more women in the last couple years, straight out of college. It's hard not to look at them. But damn, you scared your entire career could be destroyed just because some woman doesn't appreciate you looking at them or they want to get ahead of you. One trip to HR and your'e toast no matter how little evidence there is.

It was a lot easier when it was just guys around me all the time. You didn't think about this extra crap....just how can I step on this other guys back to get ahead, but we all thought about it, so it was quietly understood and ok.

It's tough having beautiful members of the opposite sex around you all the time. It triggers things you can't help.

The CEO of our company was fired for having a relationship with a colleague after his divorce. Multi-billion dollar company and he was fired for having a consensual relationship. Pound me too.

There are some problems with this.

(1) We can't tell for sure who is who on this.

(2) People can change long after the fact. Consider that many of these #metoo complaints are from decades back. In decades you might change, and you'll still be a woman.

(3) Nothing personal, but women have had an easy run for the past generation or so, being a protected class just for being female. Programs all over the place to hire women just because of their genitals (or now, gender self-expresson I guess.) Do women have some obligation to "give back" to continue receiving these benefits? I think so. So, take a risk and actively push back against those women who are creating risks for all men. Or else, you might be avoided.
