Anybody use a Fitbit to monitor cardio activity? | |

And it's nothing to do with health. They want you hooked on pills and vaccinated. PERIOD! So don't do any wellness programs whatsoever. Quoting: Kingzzor Simple, just run and work out without the metrics. Use a mirror and a scale. I agree with everything you just said with one exception. Anyone with a recent heart attack attempting to exercise to improve their health (a very wise response to the situation, IMO), needs to monitor their heart activity, at least until they have built up a solid history of clean cardiac activity during exercise. Get a stress test after a year of clean health. Then think about dispensing with the cardiac monitoring. Otherwise, to someone without the medical history of OP, who has not displayed any warning symptoms (chest pain on exertion, etc.), I agree with you. Have at it and get busy. Just walking down any street in the US, I'd say about 98% of the population need to stop following the bogus, destructive nutritional guidelines the government has given us, and cut out the sugar and starch and get off their asses. Americans now live longer than ever, but those years they've gained will all be spent in pain and horrible health, making the medical-industrial complex richer... |

It provides no privacy whatsoever, in fact they own all the data and then some, and will use it for their profit. Plus it tracks every move on Google maps so good luck Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76509910 How does a device with no GPS or internet connectivity track your location? It has GPS and connects wirelessly when internet is available. Early fitbits did not but major upgrades. The military recently banned them because soldiers were wearing them while running on the Afghanistan bases and it mapped the entire base and automatically shares your map on the web. |

I have a pacemaker/ defibrillator. So when I work out I monitor my heart rate so my device doesnt shock me and make me piss down my leg in the middle of the gym haha. It works great. Mine can also monitor arrhythmia. Which I rarely have because I got myself back into decent shape. The device is just a fail safe. Quoting: Whiskey Tango Foxtrot Which device in particular are you using, lovey?.... Sorry. Just saw this. I use garmin's rugged outdoors. But I overspent. They are 300.00. They have so many in the 100- 150 range that do the exact same thing. Maybe even better monitors. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot Certain things, they should stay the way they are. I'm actually looking at the Inspire HR device. It has more cardio options. It's $99. Minus $20 for the discount, that's not too much for me. The only other difference is that the Charge 3 stays charged for seven days. The Inspire HR is only five days. That doesn't much matter to me. I'm very happy I can get the discount.... That was my reasoning for not having one for the longest time, then I was like - welp! they're tracking me anyway with my phone so I don't think I'm that better off. So I caved and bought one last year. I got one of the cheaper ones (just does the basics - no heart rate), but what I like most is the sleep monitoring. It's pretty accurate and I like that it deducts any "restlessness" throughout the night from your overall sleep amount. I have all kinds of sleep issues so this feature I appreciate the most. |

Your bio and health stats data will be aggregated to develop and modify existing actuarial life tables to say the least. They have a poor reputation for standing behind their products after the warranty expires too. Do a search on the Surge watchband on their forums for more details. Garmin is a much better watch brand value wise and offers more health monitoring features with a matching app for the price of a comparable Fbit. Good luck. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 77715715 United States 08/02/2019 09:17 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ANTI-HUMAN PROPAGANDA. You can get similar devices for way cheaper, but OP if you are tempted by the "smart" tech...it's already too late. You DONT need it...even if you had a heart attack...you are probably just fat and unhealthy and simply need to change your LIFESTYLE/DIET, but I am guessing I dont know you. Perhaps you are just mineral deficient... FITBITS and Wearable tech now is just a taste/precursor to installing tech into our bodies, all pushed for the next step...bio tech neurolinks, elon musk is the fake marketing front guy, everything they push is FAKE. spaceX fake. But they will have you thinking it's a great useful idea to have gear installed into your arms, legs, body for things just like this. Trendy wendys and weaked minded will flock to it overnight...sheeple gotta sheep. It will NOT be like you think it will be in the movies. It will be LAME. Opening doors, turning on lights, etc...yawn. That's all the average joe will be able to do. It will be used AGAINST you, restricting you from entering zones of a city, or rather leaving the city. Medical tyranny. Used to monitor you, you'll use it to bank, medical scans, internet access ID, etc. Oh boy...and trust them it's "safer" too... After the coming digital 911, everything will be chaos and they will FORCE everyone to sign in to do the simplest things in life. Sign into the grid. Tracking everything. The eyes in the sky will monitor EVERYTHING as well. EVERYONE will be jacked into the grid, if you aren't than you'll be an outsider and possibly considered a danger to their modern society. Darpa/pentagon developed lifelog which basically grew a public arm and became facebook, sucking up even more information on the populations. Again, it gets used against you. It's free for a reason... EVERYONE that I know wears a fitbit, (mindless twits) but mostly uses it as just a bluetooth incoming text message reader/time watch and never actually uses it for it's main purpose...health and wellness. But knock your self out OP. You "NEED" it. |

I’ve been able to head off some anxiety attacks by noticing that my heart rate was elevated more than it should be. My favorite feature is the sleep tracking though. I don’t feel guilty about taking a nap or sleeping in when I can plainly see that I got no sleep during the night. |
