I was married 25 years - here’s a few possible reasons. First could be menopause - it hits early for some women. My wife had it at 46. Second, and likely, is that she’s not feeling loved in some way.

There’s this book called Love Languages. It’s pretty basic stuff, but If you’re not aware that your wife needs affection through for example words or actions and such if could be helpful to figure out what makes her tick.

Finally, you or she needs to be a better participant in your relationship. Could mean doing more together like walking, swimming or doing creative stuff. I sat on my ass too much and I missed out on a lot of fun.

My wife dropped hints left and right about what she liked. I was lucky and did many of them. I regret the ones I didn’t though, and now that she’s gone I feel like an asshole for missing out and not doing more.
