There more likely is something very wrong with the training at the academy. It needs to be thoroughly investigated as to why so many innocent people are being killed by police after being trained at the academy. Who is in charge of the training and what is his psychological profile.

The problem is that a lot of cops who aren't door kickers are door kicker wannabes, and act like door kickers in non-door-kicking scenarios. You use the right tool/person for the right job. Door kicker wannabes shouldn't be cops and should go join the Marines or something, and actual door kickers should only be used for door kicking and not regular run-of-the-mill police activity.

Maybe rookie cops shouldn't even be allowed guns in their first year and should wear full EOD suit instead at all times, to teach them how to handle problems without always using a gun, and learn how to tactical retreat and react rationally instead of hollywoodesque quickdraw at every situation. After they have proven themselves after their first year, then they can have a gun, starting with only a .22 single six in their second year and getting a better gun after the second year and so on.

American law is supposed to be based on this concept, "better that 10 guilty men go free than to convict a single innocent man." In commie countries, they say instead "show me the man and I'll find you the crime." It seems every day we move closer to the commie end of the spectrum than the "presumed innocent" end that our founding fathers intended. Cops need to stop killing everyone.

Cops need to turn against fellow cops that kill innocents, because those bad cops soil and degrade the overall reputation of cops. Even criminals have standards and turn against the child rapists among them, yet cops often rally in defense of fellow bad cops. Disgusting.

Maybe it's time to take away guns from ALL COPS until they can police themselves and purge themselves of bad cops. Po po state always trying to take away citizen's guns, let them have taste of their own medicine. Ok, lets be lenient and let the senior cops have .22 single six. After they start policing themselves and purging out their rotten elements, instead of covering up and defending their cancers, they can have their normal guns back.
