YES He will punish them and whoever else swears enmity between them and him or His followers. But His mercy can extend to them, and with what I said before in mind; it does!

What you're really asking is "Why doesn't He just let us do whatever we want and there's no recompense?". Because He is HOLY above all else; that's what He wanted the Israelites to uphold; for His sake and theirs. To witness to the rest of us His Testament.

GOD LOVES EVERYONE UNCONDITIONALLY. It's His enemies that don't love Him.

The ignorant that deny Him, should be forgiven for it because in their denial they don't know what they're doing.

His enemies...they should be pitied and prayed for.

The misguided innocents should be guided by the wise but , in the end, no man, no book, no institution, are a better guide than God within...if only people knew where to look and listen. What you seek, you already have.

In the final reckoning each can only help and save themself while through it all God always loves them.

God wants you to love yourself enough to realize that you do not need a verbal admission of love from something that you could not exist in without being loved.

God will torment his 'enemies' (i.e. those who didn't believe in him or didn't kiss his ass hard enough) for all eternity! That's not love!

Jesus tells us to forgive our trespassers yet he won't forgive those who 'deny' (or simply never heard of him!) - those he will send to eternal torment! No love, compassion, forgiveness after you die - just neverending pain & torment! This is 'love'? GTFOH!

Who ever said God has to live by the same rules that He gives to us? Do human parents even have to live by the rules they give their own kids? Of course not. No one cares when children are required to be in bed by 8 at night, but the adults get to stay up as late as they want. That's not hypocritical of the parents, it's just good parenting. You might have a rule in the house that guns are completely off limits for children and touching one would bring instant punishment, but the adult in the house can touch their guns any time they want. How hypocritical they must be huh? How much more of a difference is there between humans and God?

Its a pretty foolish argument to imply that God's words and expectations for us are meaningless just because He doesn't have to live by them as well. The reason He is able to do things we can not do is because it is almost impossible for humans to ever be truly just in what they do, so we are denied the right to do certain things in life and perform certain actions. God cares about motivations more than actions. He is the only one that can see the motivations behind what people do, so He is the only one that can rightfully judge it.

A lot of the OT ‘Lord God’ stories are based on Baal and Baal worship, not the same God that led Moses and the Israelites out of Egypt. Ezra had to collect history from Egyptian and Babylonian archives, because nothing was left in Judah and Israel after being conquered and destroyed, and compiling them in a book. That’s also why there are different names for God in the OT.
It’s like collecting a history of the US hundreds of years after its destruction using only the records kept by other countries like Russia, China, Europe.

Relax, there are no gods,just people hoping they can be immortal. Their is no other reason to throw out reason and logic. As they say you must have faith. This the reason for believing in god(s). Do you believe in a hell? If you do then you believe in nothing because there's no such thing. God is love and mercy. He doesn't judge, he doesn't take sides and he certainly does not torment, punish or condemn. That's a myth concocted by so-called "spiritual leaders" in order to keep their followers in line with fear. God does not do fear. The saying "God-fearing" is blatantly wrong. Why would you fear God? Name me one plausible reason because as much as I've studied and contemplated thus far I haven't found one. No, the only torments are the ones inflicted by humans on other humans and on themselves.

God's not responsible for anyone's pain because God doesn't make anyone do anything. He doesn't force. What we do, we do from free will choice. God only watches and guides from within when he is allowed to but otherwise He minds his own business...until you decide to make His business your business. When that happens you'll discover that the greatest torment of God is being without God and that it was entirely your fault.
