BREAKING!!! URGENT: US EMBASSY UNDER ROCKET ATTACK In IRAQ- BAGHDAD!!! (p.914) | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 78173554 United States 01/12/2020 08:43 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Iran and Syria are extremely close friends. Repression from the mullahs regime won't be any different than that of Assad in Syria. People will die by thousands, dozens of thousands if a revolution does happen. A revolution will make an exterior intervention much easier from the USA though but how will Russia and China react to the loss of a strategic ally? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78054626 Yeah, but the rebels would have won in Syria if not for Iran. Russia helped, but they weren't willing to commit the ground forces needed to push back the 10 different factions funded by 20 different countries that were sent after Assad. Russia and China might smuggle weapons, but I doubt they would put boots on the ground. And for sure the US would be smuggling weapons as well. That pretty much leaves North Korea, who in no way shape or form could handle the logistics of supporting a ground war 4,000 miles away. |

They are not really funded by anyone except for Turkey, and even then probably not all the FSA factions. West never intended to overthrow Assad, of course, overthrowing Iran's regime is another matter. |

Well it depends on how big the rebellion is, how many percents of the population support it, the weapons which are smuggled to them, how large the repression forces are... etc... Plenty of factors even not factoring boots on the grounds from other regimes. Also they could have reinforcements from Assad, and from their proxies. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76382645 So, two 82nd airborne troops died in AFGHANISTAN?!?!?! YEA FUCKING RIGHT!! They died in the air strikes in Iraq. All fucking lies And that uprising in Iran is no different than the countless protests we get from both sides here in the states over and over we just have an advanced way of killing our own, abortion, cancer, mass shootings, Dr's, gangs, etc. the slow burn. People fucked up with illness all over. Iran can't kill like we do. We got that locked up. Or we just incarcerate every one we can for non-violent behaviors. 82nd wasn't in Afghanistan. I expect more and more of these little spats of American solider deaths to cover the losses at the airbase last week. Stop pushing BS. The two guys who were killed were with the 307th Airborne Engineer Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division [link to abc11.com (secure)] They've been in Afghanistan a while now - [link to www.facebook.com (secure)] from their Facebook - [link to www.facebook.com (secure)] Fuck of with all your BS, asswipe prick. |

My guess is Assad would be too busy trying to save his own ass once Iranian forces are called back to deal with and insurrection. There will be lots of weapons... all it would take is for the government to lost control in a small area and a dozen countries will be knocking on the door with crates of small arms, vying to bet on the right horse which ends up on top at the end. But the government has a lot of resources... Iran has gotten very good at being self-sufficient producing weapons since they have been under embargo for so long. They make their own unlicensed clones of any small arm you can think of, AKs M4s RPGs etc and ammo to go along with it. |

Given that the CIA is working full on a "revolution" of the Iranian youth against the Khamenei gerontocracy, the only way to stop that agitation from abroad is to cut the internet completely and definitely. It is necessary to see if the USA is going to use some wireless internet system that can give access to Iranian youth, bypassing blocked local providers. |

User ID: 76874997 Netherlands 01/13/2020 04:44 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Japans PM Abe warns that Iran crisis can affect the whole world. Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, on a visit to the Middle East hoping to calm ease tensions sparked by the killing of top Iranian general Qassem Soleimani, has warned that military confrontation with Iran will harm peace and stability across the world. Abe's comments came at the start of a five-day Gulf tour that had been thrown into doubt after Tehran responded to the assassination of Soleimani by firing missiles at bases hosting US troops in Iraq, prompting fears of all-out war. But as those concerns receded, Abe decided to go ahead with the visit and on Sunday discussed regional tensions during an hour-long meeting with Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in northwestern al-Ula province, according to Japanese foreign ministry spokesman Masato Ohtaka.
