Hey OP -

You asked about Osha -

Check around locally - I have had an abundance, and didn't realize it was super rare and can't be grown outside of it's natural environment.

A straight herbalist master couldn't even move it from one hill to another - something something microbes.

Keep with the Chincona Bark for this one i think.

There is something about trees and the natural protective layers formed through sap that I believe the non profit medical groups could look into further.

Mullein is a good herb for respiratory distress. It's growing wild on my property from spring to fall every year. I make a tea of the leaves and flowers, when ever my bronchitis starts-up and it helps to relive the symptoms.

Mullein Benefits

Chest infections: Speeding up recovery from bronchitis and chest infections.

Respiratory health: Soothing respiratory ailments, such as asthma, sore throat, and dry cough. Read more:

Yes -

Several Herbalists have concurred that this will be good for the lung issues.

TAKE AS DIRECTED

Top 3 for this includes Mullein - in my info from around the world.

Consider it herbalist peer reviewed.

That said - though I haven't found a DR (yet) to work with - or lab, or clinic - Treatment in the early stages at first onset of symptoms is so important.

Viral load is lowest.

Think about it - this thing has to hide for 14 days to infiltrate the blood stream.

Treatment at onset of symptoms is vital.

I am seeing whatever part of this that is headed for the neural pathway, fight the hardest and stay the longest.

Symptom: Headache -

Go after it and continue whatever you are using for 14 days.

We have all talked for days about how to clear out our bodies toxin level.

Kidneys and liver are very important to pay attention to.

The native Americans even smoked it for really bad conditions and immediate relief. No lie look it up. Overall this is my all around sinus and chest decongestant all year round.

Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then.

If the more I know, the more I know I don’t know, then do I truly know what I know because I know I don’t?

You cannot reach a correct conclusion if you begin with an incorrect assumption

Licorice Inhibits Replication of Coronavirus

Glycyrrhizin, the major ingredient in licorice root, has shown effectiveness against SARS virus in scientific studies

It has been effective in treating viruses such as herpes, HIV, hepatitis, influenza, encephalitis and pneumonia

Glycyrrhizin outperformed conventional antiviral medications against SARS in research published in the journal The Lancet

The substance seems to work earlier in the virus replication cycle, compared to other medications, inhibiting absorption and penetration of the virus

Propolis (CAPE) mixed WITH grape seed extract (reservatrol) = complete cytokine knockout

GPE + PR combination

Grape polyphenols and propolis mixture inhibits inflammatory mediator release from human leukocytes and reduces clinical scores in experimental arthritis

[link to www.sciencedirect.com (secure)]

Abstract

Polyphenols from red fruits and bee-derived propolis (PR) are bioactive natural products in various in vitro and in vivo models. The present study shows that hematotoxicity-free doses of grape polyphenols (GPE) and PR differentially decreased the secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines from activated human peripheral blood leucocytes. While GPE inhibited the monocytes/macrophage response, propolis decreased both monokines and interferon γ (IFNγ) production. When used together, their distinct effects lead to the attenuation of ALL inflammatory mediators, as supported by a significant modulation of the transcriptomic profile of pro-inflammatory genes in human leukocytes. To enforce in vitro data, GPE + PR were tested for their ability to improve clinical scores and cachexia in chronic rat adjuvant-induced arthritis (AA). Extracts significantly reduced arthritis scores and cachexia, and this effect was more significant in animals receiving continuous low doses compared to those receiving five different high doses. Animals treated daily had significantly better clinical scores than corticoid-treated rats. Together, these findings indicate that the GPE + PR combination induces potent anti-inflammatory activity due to their complementary immune cell modulation.

I have used this recipe for making THIEVES OIL for years.

After researching, it is the formula I believe to be most accurate.

4.0 x Clove oil

3.5 x Lemon oil

2.0 x Cinnamon oil

1.5 x Eucalyptus oil

1.0 x Rosemary oil

(x= parts, drops, units, oz, etc.)

:bfsalve:
 Quoting: Trained Noticer

Wow , thanks a lot! May i use it in the Recipe section on third post?

I use the same one. Found it and started making it during the Ebola scare. I put it in spray bottles of half vinegar and half water to clean with, in the diffuser, and mix with coconut oil and lather my whole body in it if I have to go out. My whole family is doing this. We use qtips to put it in our nose and ears, lol
You can also smear it in your mask, which is how I think I survived working with 100 other people during the initial outbreak
My sister is a nurse and we've been making it for them. 3 patients positive and nurses sick yet, so, maybe

Melatonin.
Recent studies shows it fights the severe inflammatory response that leads to ARDS.
This makes sense in that children have way higher levels of melatonin and that amount reduces with age.
It also correlates to the whole WiFi thing too in that WiFi reduces your levels of melatonin due to interruption of sleep. Just as light interferes with its production during sleep.

Also, I have a bottle of quinine tincture from cinchona bark.
I use it for babesia. Start low with this if you have any tick borne infections. Whew-it knocked me on my butt because I started at too high a dose.
Glad I had bought it months ago for the other purpose. I see it’s unavailable now.

You can get very good deals on CBD hemp flower now. It's a lot cheaper than buying CBD oil.

You can buy 16oz of flower around $100 now and make endless amounts of CBD oil.

Endocannabinoid deficiency is the real deal, you only need to eat about half a gram of raw flower a day to stay healthy.

Got this from an article on Life extension titled NAC Can Save Lives..

H5N1 influenza, or bird flu, is a lethal and potentially pandemic infection that produces the massive release of inflammatory mediators aptly called the “cytokine storm.”24 Other more common forms of influenza also act by triggering massive cytokine releases that inflame vulnerable lung tissue. In early 2010, it was discovered that NAC offers dual protection against bird flu. It inhibits both virus replication and expression of pro-inflammatory molecules in cells infected with H5N1 virus, holding out the promise of effective protection in the event of a global avian flu pandemic

Re: A little Herb Summary vs COVID-19
Propolis (CAPE) mixed WITH grape seed extract (reservatrol) = complete cytokine knockout

GPE + PR combination

Grape polyphenols and propolis mixture inhibits inflammatory mediator release from human leukocytes and reduces clinical scores in experimental arthritis

The composition of propolis is not fixed and varies considerably from region to region along with vegetation, from season to season, and from hive to hive. In each sample of propolis, more than 80 to 100 chemical compounds are typically identified [94]. Altogether, at least 180 different compounds have been identified in propolis so far.

...

Dr Karl Lund Aagaard, a Danish biologist, earned the name “Dr Propolis” for his exploits of over 20 years of propolis collecting and research. After observing the effects of propolis on more than 50,000 patients in Scandinavia, Dr Aagaard drew the following conclusions:

The field of influence of Propolis is extremely broad. It includes cancer, infection of the urinary tract, swelling of the throat, gout, open wounds, sinus congestion, colds, influenza, bronchitis, gastritis, diseases of the ears, periodontal disease, intestinal infections, ulcers, eczema eruptions, pneumonia, arthritis, lung disease, stomach virus, headaches, Parkinson’s disease, bile infections, sclerosis, circulation deficiencies, warts, conjunctivitis and hoarseness [102].

...

Propolis is reputed to have antiseptic, antibacterial, antimycotic, astringent, spasmolytic, anti-inflammatory, anaesthetic, antioxidant, antitumoural, antifungal, antiulcer, anticancer, and immunomodulatory effects

Thank you!
Have a scan of this thread for some stuff I've stumbled on here and on the net, might be something there you can add.

eg: Stinging Nettle has an interesting and potentially practical use..

Thread: Clinical management of severe acute respiratory infection (SARI) when COVID-19 disease is suspected *notes to self

I wonder if a more simple version of China TCM herbal cure is available. With dosage and how to prepare.. would love to add to recipe section!

From the person who sent me the TCM remedies:

"The most important herbs seem to be Lian Qiao and Jin Yin Hua"

(Forsythia, Japanese honeysuckle[ aka woodbine])

but I also heard from a top London herbalist that Bupleurum was the best...
