With everything you have been through your doctor won't support you getting tested? You would not be out of line to ask for them to write the order. It might be a good idea just to cover your bases.

She was the on call doctor, my regular doctor never answered me the other day, I hope he’s ok, it’s not like him at all

She sounded very stressed, I think a lot of people don’t know how to take care of themselves at home and probably make it worse

If this antibiotic doesn’t help I might, still have migraine like headaches, mouth still feels burnt and I can’t taste anything, dry cough and swollen tonsil

She only gave me 5 pills....
 Quoting: ~kpm~

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you feel better soon. If not in a few days I would keep trying to contact your doctor. Hang in there!!

Thanks!

I saw a couple of your posts on how young Fauci and his wife look

Got a chuckle out of it and wanted to tell you that we Italians age pretty well LOL

My aunt passed away at 99 and she looked like she was in her 60s, not a wrinkle on her face and all she used It was Ivory soap and Lubriderm lotion
 Quoting: ~kpm~

Lucky Italians!!! I hope you looked into the nebulized h202. I KNOW it will help you with your sinus and strep. It will put diluted food grade peroxide directly on your infect areas. Thanks again for all you do. I am going to actually leave the house today, I will go check on the semi-trailer.

Good morning all - thanks for keeping us updated. I am sorry to whoever I made see red for not posting anything on the semi-trailer at the school. I literally have not left the house since last Wednesday except to walk the dog in the woods. I should have gone as promised! I hope everyone is doing weIl enough.
 Quoting: akasuzanne

Red all gone, lol

You don’t need to go out just to report a trailer truck!

Good morning to you

It’s a bright sunny day!!!!!!

I haven’t yet but I plan to, only taken one antibiotic pill so far and it’s clear that it’s starting to work, won’t go into gross details, lol but I’ve noticed that my burnt mouth no taste sensation has lessened a bit too

Levofloxacin apparently has some antiviral attributes and that’s that’s why she prescribed it to me, she said if it’s corona this is what they are using right now

Whitless is doing nothing but fear mongering

She wants us to call family in friends in other states and tell them to shelter in place, this is bad, don’t take the risks

It’s up to us to help other learn they have to sacrifice to save lives

We have to open back up. No panicking around here.
Yes I am in Wayne co downriver to be exact, we are getting a lot of positive cases. But not all are severe.
My aunt said yes you may get it, but only be alarmed if you spike a fever that is very high and you feel like your heart is really going.
Humidifier, vit c and steamy showers will help.
It can raise your blood pressure which causes other issues.
She just said she did not vent one person yesterday, Very few were vented in the make shift icu.
They have a couple or rooms open for emergencies.

Thanks for the info. Are they using the hyroxychloroquine?
 Quoting: akasuzanne

Yes. They are using it as needed. Severe cases only as far as I was told.

Finally some hospital nunbers.
"Every day we ask all 173 acute care hospitals to share data with us on patents who have covid-19." The data is incomplete but as of 4/4:

3,768 are hospitalized with Covid-19
1,383 of those hospitalized are on ventilators.
89 percent of those hospitalized are in SE Michigan.

It would be good to know how many hospitals are in SE Michigan.

Was speaking to my insurance guy

His mother is a nurse and works at St. John on Mack and Moross in the child birth center

She’s tested positive and been Asymptomatic this whole time, she’s had two positive test so far and been quarantined at home

9 nurses tested positive from the birthing unit, they have no idea how they got it, the unit was sealed off from visitors and partners from coming in during a birth

I imagine a patient having a baby had it

My son’s mother-in-law is a traveling nurse in Detroit for diabetic patients

She and her husband thought they had in January

They have a cardiologist friend who’s joined a research group to study blood from patients who have recovered

He tested their blood and it was negative for antibodies

So they either never had it or we don’t become immune?

Can’t wait to hear more from the outcome

To preserve his letter to Whitmer because FB might delete it!

Jim Santilli

Thank you to everyone for your support and prayers while I was extremely ill and hospitalized due to COVID-19!

It truly means the world to me. I am continuing to recover and be treated at home. I’m praying all of you, and your families, remain healthy and safe during this challenging time.

As a COVID-19 survivor who is currently recovering, I believe it is important to share my story publicly so others have hope.

The sad reality is Michigan’s Governor, Gretchen Whitmer, is failing the people of the state of Michigan.

Rather than leading and making good choices that will help our wonderful people during this horrible COVID-19 situation, she continuously chooses to engage in partisan politics.

That must end now.

On March 18th, I had a sudden onset of severe respiratory and cardiac issues. I immediately went to the hospital and they did a COVID-19 test. Despite my test being marked as a priority, I did not receive the test results until the evening of March 22nd.

While waiting for the test results in the hospital, my breathing continued to worsen as treatment was received. Without having the COVID-19 test results, the wonderful and hard-working doctors basically have their hands tied as certain medications (i.e. steroids, etc.) can potentially make COVID-19 worse.

On the morning of March 21st, I was not doing well and it was a major struggle to breathe. Feeling like I was slowly drowning, I honestly believed I would not live to see midnight. The x-ray that morning also showed my condition was worsening, including some collapsing in the lungs.

Luckily, the infectious disease physicians decided to try a non-approved, experimental combination (Hydroxychloroquine and Azithromycin). This is the same treatment President Donald Trump recently mentioned at a press conference and continues to be attacked for.

After my first dose, I had a major improvement. My gasping for air stopped, and I was in tears of happiness due to having hope restored. I finally felt I would beat COVID-19 and it was no longer beating me. On March 22nd, I remained about the same. However, March 23rd brought a significant improvement.

I continued to recover and was miraculously able to go home on March 24th to continue the treatment.

There are a few important things I believe the public needs to know.

One is the treatment that President Trump recommended worked for me and saved my life.

It also appears to be helping others.

As a result, I believe we can all have hope!

However, I sadly just learned that Governor Whitmer has once again made a terrible decision. According to the Detroit News, her Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs sent a letter threatening all doctors and pharmacists in Michigan who prescribe or dispense Hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19.

The letter threatens administrative action against the licenses of doctors who prescribe it. It also instructs pharmacists to ignore physician orders for this medication.

This is unacceptable and I’m confident Governor Whitmer, and her administration, will be responsible for many deaths and much suffering. I highly recommend she stop the politics, and not discourage doctors from using treatment they believe may work. It could be a matter of life or death for numerous patients.

As for the COVID-19 testing, we can do better. On March 24th, after hearing my story, a friend recommended I talk to a local company whom she heard had COVID-19 tests. I spoke with ProMed Rapid Testing of Southfield, Michigan. They were kind enough to drop off a sample to my home yesterday. I tried one and had the results in minutes. It showed I had IgG antibodies in my system, which apparently means I had the virus and successfully beat it. I was told these exact tests are being used in 67 countries around the world and they cost under $50. What really upset me the most is they apparently contacted multiple state and regional government and health system agencies over the past month about these available test kits.

I believe Governor Whitmer should've taken advantage of these tests rather than sitting and blaming the federal government. In my situation, doctors could’ve had immediate test results so they would’ve known what they were dealing with. These immediate test results are essential to early detection and effective treatment.

I also learned on March 25th, through multiple news sources, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) did not receive a request from the State of Michigan for federal emergency funds. While Governor Whitmer was going on national television to engage in partisan politics, she should’ve been working with her team and had the application submitted long ago. Michigan topped 2,200 cases and at least 43 deaths on March 25th. On that same date, the Governor's spokeswoman told the Detroit Free Press that state officials were "reviewing and looking into" a request to FEMA. So, while Michigan ranks fifth in the nation for total coronavirus cases, and does need federal assistance, Governor Whitmer failed to complete the process and instead opted to wrongfully point the finger at President Trump.

Overall, the COVID-19 situation should not be about partisan politics. Our elected officials, who work for us, must lead effectively and do what's in the best interest of all people. Governor Whitmer has not done this. Instead, she continuously makes very poor decisions and puts politics before people.

As a COVID-19 survivor, I believe Governor Whitmer needs to start acting in the best interest of the people here in the great state of Michigan. Instead of pointing the finger at others, she needs to look in the mirror. It is not too late for her to set partisan politics aside and start making good choices for us all.

His FB post was deleted along with his post about getting an antibody test done

His post sparked the outrage against WHITLESS

All articles linked to his original FB post have been scrubbed of this original post

What a bunch BS he was made to write, lol!

Now his only Facebook post about coronavirus is this response to Whitless changing her mind and allowing hydroxychloroquine:

This news makes me very happy!

Thank you to everyone, including our elected officials, who expressed their support for using the medication in certain covid-19 situations!

I believe it made a difference!!!

Wanna bet Whitless made him say that!!!

Like no smoking

Started in restaurants, which was fine with me

Then bars, that’s taking it a bit far

Then no buildings

Then 25 feet from entrances

Now some apartments and condos ban it even if you own your place

Did you ever have to clean walls that had a buildup of years of cigarette smoke?

I did years ago - after my roommate died.

I was a smoker myself - but that cleanup was no fun.

Yes I have, numerous times, my parents smoked and I’ve moved into homes or renovated homes with smokers

I don’t think if you own your home, apartment or condo you should be told what you can do inside of it as far as smoking goes

My brother called me, said his daughter, who's a nurse is sick.

I believe she works in Saginaw.
She started feeling bad two days ago, they sent her home and told her to stay there.

I don't know if she was tested yet or not.

According to Fauci’s model we are peaking in 2 days, but Whitless is going by her own model all of a sudden!!!!!?

Michigan governor considers extension of ‘stay home’ order as coronavirus cases continue to rise

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer says the “stay-at-home” order, originally slated to end on April 14, will likely be extended as coronavirus cases continue to rise.

Gov. Whitmer said she’s expecting an additional order this week for the “Stay Home, Stay Safe” order, but it’s unclear how long it would be extended for at this time.

Gov. Whitmer said the state “is not close to the apex yet,” and staying home is the best tool to keep people safe.

“Hospitals are reporting that discharges are picking up, but that doesn’t mean the numbers are decreasing -- we’re just slowing the growth,” Gov. Whitmer said. “We’re not close to hitting the apex yet.”

“We are not out of the woods yet,” Dr. Joneigh Khaldun said, adding the 89 percent of hospitalizations for the virus are in Southeast Michigan.

Last week, state officials suggested the state was likely a month or so away from an apex of cases, but over the weekend, the White House suggested cases in Metro Detroit could peak later this week.

Gov. Whitmer said the state’s models are looking at more Michigan specific data than federal models, repeating that they expect a peak in late April or early May.

The next few days it will be important to look at the statistics, I think she’s going to be adding a lot more cases to make it look like we’re nowhere near the peak

Whitmer defends prediction of late April, early May coronavirus peak in Michigan

Using modeling from the University of Michigan, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer said Monday that she still expects the peak of coronavirus cases to hit by the end of April or early May.

The modeling still isn't perfect, however, she said, because the state hasn't done enough testing to build models that are reliable.

And different parts of the state may peak at different times.

"When federal modeling looks at when the peak is, they can articulate an average, but we're going to have peaks in different parts of Michigan at different times," Whitmer said.

"So the modeling that we're looking at is done by people here in Michigan at the University of Michigan.

And while it's not perfect because of the testing issues, we anticipate the peak will be at the end of April or early May at this juncture.
