Governor Cooper's Stay at Home Order (Executive Order 121) exempts Essential Governmental Operations and liquor stores. Therefore, the ABC Commission will continue to serve the public and accomplish its duties.

The Order also lists liquor stores as Essential Retail Businesses, and therefore the ABC stores are not required to close by this order. However, the ABC stores and retail operations of the ABC system are managed by the 170 local ABC Boards across the state. Therefore, these local Boards, and their appointing authorities, may choose to adjust hours or close stores if they deem it appropriate. Each Board will make the decision they feel is best for their community.

I have the same feeling.
I'm essential and at work this morning and it's very slow. This past week we've been busier than I thought we'd be. Had to make a quick grocery run yesterday evening and too many people out. If the weather would turn ugly it would keep many in.

Reading the order, it looks like almost everything remains open.

They are carry out only. You can go in and buy beer to go. Same with food. All bars and restaurants are closed except carry out.

Not keeping people at home.

This unnecessary pandemic and the associated changes in our lifestyles might have tremendous unintended positive consequences. Kids aren’t being shipped off to government schools each day. Parents are spending more time with their kids. Families are spending time out walking or playing in the yard. Cooking at home makes more sense so, as you find, families are spending more time together.

Crazy, with all the people I know with letters from DHS for travel and all the "essential" businesses, looks like very little change starts here Monday.

The Governor looks like a clone of the news guy on local Fox News in NC, government and media cloning conspiracy?

Coastal NC here.... this order doesn’t really seems to close much that hasn’t already been shut down.

Also, the end game of all this comes when the majority of the population has been infected and recovered, hopefully providing some level of immunity, or a vaccine is forced upon the population. Bring it on, and let’s finish this shit already so the survivors can get back to work and try to salvage what they can of their lives.

You panictards are making the weak minded people freak out. Yesterday I saw a woman in the grocery store wearing latex gloves, and pumping hand sanitizer into her gloved hands.

Seems like a great time to round them up and put them in camps. Or maybe just put them on a raft and shove them out to sea.

Wilmington Brewing Company shut down this week for at least several weeks. Only time will tell if they’ll actually ever reopen. Going to start happening at other breweries too. Most small ones rely on their taprooms to keep them afloat.

Same here, outside of Winston. Hardcore spraying early on about 7am.
