Fury-Wilder III revisited..



Excellent bout and more action than 95% of the heavyweight fights that I've seen over the years.

Both boxers wanted this badly.

Wilder was more accurate, and technically a better hard-puncher ... but ...

The difference was that Tyson Fury had better legs and a better chin in the later rounds. Wilder fought his heart out, but he couldn't withstand the mauling in-close street-brawl punches in those all-critical later rounds. Plus, Wilder lacked any defense to preserve that weaker chin in the first place ..

Same thing happened to Mike Tyson in his later career (no real defense).

There is more to a Championship fight (against a comparable rival) than pure 100% offense - ONLY.

Yeah, Floyd (or Floyd, Sr) could have taught Deontay a thing or two...
