Food is shipped in because of the population grew too large long ago to be sustained by local agriculture. If the container ships were to stop, people would go hungry. Convoys of freighters couldn't replace container ships. Paradise could go to hell for those wealthy runaways; they'd be right on everybody's bulls eye.

It would be a place to go enjoy, but they could do that anytime. So were they choosing Hawaii for safety, or just to get out of New York?

They cleared everybody of the beach at Rock Quarries Wednesday. Said you had to be surfing or swimming. I came in for a rest & wondered where everybody was & was told the National Guard showed up with the police & told people sitting on the beach to leave, so I took the board back out.

Both Kauai and Oahu have shut down vacation rentals and air BnBs and the majority of hotels are now closed. Their only options are long term rentals or buying sight unseen.

Only active volcanos are on the Big Island and they aren’t the kind that blow.

Idk why Hawaii would be considered a better spot as far as food goes. Unless you want to eat pineapple and fish 24/7. Food is expensive in Hawaii because it's in short supply. It also has to be shipped in. With the shortages we are experiencing on the mainland, WTF makes people think it would be a better situation on Hawaii?

Agree! The China released in and may have immunized most of their people. The stated for decades they wanted to have only one sun in sky. After we are mostly all dead they can walk in and take over our countries. There might be few people left but their military can certainly take care of that.

Heartedly agree! They have destroyed Miami and Boca Raton. At least I pray they will not infest my county to a greater degree.
