On January 8 the "unknown cause" was identified as a novel coronavirus. A full genome sequence of the virus was published on January 12 and preliminary testing kits were developed and made available in Wuhan. By January 13 another test and test protocol had been developed in Germany and on January 17 the WHO adopted its refined version.

In the U.S. the CDC insisted on developing its own test and failed by contaminating its test components. It then failed for more than a month to correct the issue.

Actually yes, after the Covid research was banned illegal Dr Fauci out sourced the Covid19 project to Wuhan in 2015 and funded them $3.7 to continue it's 'gain of function', meaning contagion and the splicing of HIV spike protein for unrestricted host cell penetration. As we are experiencing the project is extremely successful.

Yes, I agree with you on all counts.

My questions are:

1. EXACTLY who made the test kits? CDC? US contractors? Overseas contractors? China?

2. What EXACTLY does 'seeded' mean? Also described as 'tainted'?
'Seeded' seems to imply deliberate action.
'Tainted' is less loaded - could mean anything from accidental contamination to far less innocent activities.

If accidental, HTF did damned COVID19 get anywhere near the test kits during manufacturing?

3. Is the CDC fit for purpose? Who oversees them? Is oversight robust enough?

We need precise, forensic level answers, not weasel words that beg more questions. ASAP.
Meanwhile, anyone got any ideas, leads etc?

That said, Trump isn't a doctor or scientist and anyone thinking the CDC's failures are somehow his fault is just ludicrous. Those "failures" existed long before he became President, they were just covered up by a compliant Obammy Press.
Trump is a CEO. If the people running departments in the Executive Branch are incompetent he fires them and replaces them (if they are appointees), he doesn't run the dept for them (which would be stupid he doesn't have a PHD in science). If the incompetency is at lower levels (fed employees), then it is the leader of the CDC's job to find it and correct it. If the leader fails that, then they are replaced. That's how it is done. It's about impossible to fire a fed employee without just cause because they are union protected.

The Problem is Trump cannot fire anybody because Chuck Schumer refuses to replace them via senate confirmation hearings.

But trump hired fauci and he's a genius glp says so he'd have been able to do a Google search so that he knew he wasn't hiring swamp creatures that talked about a virus outbreak in his administration three years before it happened.

Maybe it's time to admit Trump is the swamp.

Shortly after the problems became apparent in early February, the Food and Drug Administration sent Timothy Stenzel, chief of in vitro diagnostics and radiological health, to the CDC to investigate what was going wrong. According to the Times, he found a lack of coordination and inexperience in commercial manufacturing.

Problems that led to the contamination included researchers coming and going from labs working on the test kits without changing their coats and researchers sharing lab space to both assemble test components and handle samples containing the coronavirus.

No he gave them all the rope they needed.

I don't see anything in that article that confirms they came from China. If anything, it says the CDC REFUSED tests kits from the WHO. I remember reports that the CDC felt those test kits from the WHO (which probably used China's kits) were faulty. At that time I seem to remember it was that fact that caused the delay in testing, because the CDC wanted to make their own kits, instead of the WHO.
Idk, maybe the initial tests did come from the WHO and thats why they changed it, but can't find any article that states that.
All I've found is the CDC labs itself were found to be not following proper procedures. That there was movement to and from depts that may have led to contamination.
Somehow, the reagents used in testing became infected.
Whether that was because of a manufacturing issue or sloppy lab practices, we don't know, but what we do know is other countries are rejecting China PPE's because of faulty equipment and that our CDC had live virus in their labs and were not changing PPE between depts.
