But there’s still a social distance to be held there. I don’t see any problem," seasonal resident Ed Johnson said. “We pay a lot of taxes. And the people on the oceanfront have a very high tax rate. Yeah, if I had a house there I would turn the water on for myself and anyone who asked. Its bullshit to block owners from their property and utilities they pay to connect to. |

Let's get that straight from the start. No, not fair, but the season is not open yet and town council is trying to dissuade folks from coming in so that the same thing that happened in Nantucket and parts of Cape Cod don't happen in Salisbury, which is a poor town to begin with. By the time end of May rolls around they will start opening stuff. Better to keep YEAR ROUND RESIDENTS safe than it is to cow tow to some ninny who thinks he is safe in his seasonal rental, No ??? |

To avoid the bribe, shut off the water, and restart when you return. So, the cheap fools who refused to pay their meter/hookup fee EVERY month get what they deserve Property tax doesn't cover water meter Welcome to democrap run areas During the tornadoes last week, and during hurricane michael, we lost electricity. Since my water meter is always hooked up, I simply closed the electric well apollo valve and opened the working city water apollo valve. I can switch back and forth whenever I want. Helps when the well fails(lightning kills it often enough or during a major storm power outage). I pay for this luxury by paying my watermeter hookup EVERY month even when I use 0 gallons of chloramine, pipe rusting inhibiting, flouridated... water. Keep those seasonal clowns out of town. They all come from chinavirusville anyway. |

No, IMO, if you own a house and pay taxes you should be able to occupy that home at any time you wish If they have seasonal rules that homeowners have to follow, they should not restrict them Homeowners should be asked to shelter in place upon arriving at their home The risky groups should be the ones quarantined not the healthy ~With forethought and malice Whitless enacted an EO giving nursing homes immunity from wrongful death prosecutions, forced them to take in infected patients and is responsible for over 6500+ nursing home deaths~ |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 78436726 United States 04/25/2020 10:06 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Its called a quarantine This is a water bill hookup and has nothing to do with taxes, which pay for schools/police/fire/roads/bridges and maybe garbage pickup. Water company is a corporation in many areas now. Easy way to quarantine is to keep the city water off for seasonal residents and keep them in Coronavirusville Its these idiots travelling everywhere that are spreading the virus. 1st, the chinese flood italy/europe/usa with their migrant workers and immigrants, that go back to china to visit family/friends and to celebrate their holidays, only to return with disease 2nd, the disease is in crowded cities.... KEEP IT THERE YOU LIBERALS GET WHAT YOU DESERVE and funny how they want to run away from the monster THEY CREATED Liberals enjoy their densification. We don't want their sickness out here in the sticks. The other option is to turn the water on, and closed the town bordeers. Turn away anyone in a "HOT SPOT" or with a temperature, or with an out of state license plate... GIVE THEM A TASTE OF THEIR OWN MEDICINE Hypocrites here are too funny |
