Got Diagnosed With COVID-19... (Again???) | |

Everything is very methodical and coordinated. Many people wait in their cars and tons of work (like taking insurance information and demographics) is done via phone...even if waiting in a closed examination room, like I was. Anonymous Coward User ID: 77952124 United States 04/27/2020 04:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Went to the ER this morning since I was sick and missed an entire week of work last week. Quoting: AkashicRecord® Originally, I was hoping to go for an all-clear so that I could officially return to work this week, but got a positive diagnosis for COVID-19 and a two-week quarantine instead! This wasn't that surprising to me, since I was quite ill, but didn't have coughing or breathing issues...just everything else for about a full week. Luckily, for work (and being a Union member) I can still get paid while out...without needing sick time. Obviously, not the case for many that are taken out of work temporarily due to this virus. Praying for your full complete recovery in the name above every name Jesus Christ amen. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78641122 Get better It's Connecticut, and they didn't feel wasting a test on me that late on the game would have been worth anything. I've been exposed to a number a people who had this virus, so it was just par for the course...and a bit of a ticking time bomb. The doctor that saw me told me that 1/3rd of tests are turning up false negatives! We had a few severely ill family members here over the weeks, some are first responders, and every test was coming up (rather impossibly) negative...but it was also taking about 10 days for results, so that's no bueno! I don't put much faith in the results of some of these tests right now. You have to go with symptoms first, tests secondary... Less to worry about with the wife not working right now. Quoting: Rorschach Watchmen Yeah, I hear that. I had a young (age 30) co-worker recently die from this, and the father of a family friend also perished a few days ago, so it is not really a joke... My wife's aunt and uncle had it.... Fully recovered now but we were over at their house the day before the uncle got really sick... He supposedly had a fever that day. For something so contagious it must be a miracle that None of us caught it, including our 3 children that were there with us. Her aunt and uncle even have two adult children that are temporarily living with them and they never caught it either... So far all the evidence closest to me makes it really hard to believe the official narrative on this virus |

Everything is too new for them to have done the proper testing and trials. Had a 90-something year old woman at my work test positive with absolutely no symptoms other than a temp of 101.0 They did a whole work-up. It was a nasty UTI causing the temp. After a couple of days of antibiotics her temp came down. I may ask the doctor to retest her. |

We basically have potentially up to 1/3 of reported (negative) cases actually being underreported...meaning that they were truly positive cases. The numbers being reported are low on many fronts. That's both good and bad. At least most people are staying home and not letting the whole thing turn in Bergamo, USA everywhere... Sorry, that message is no longer in the database. |

(OP) User ID: 78663005 United States 04/28/2020 11:38 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So here's the thing about these tests and the false negatives... A family friend died a few days ago. He had three tests: two negatives and a final positive. The last test was too late and he was already severely compromised. It started with him already being in the hospital for a different reason; he was tested twice while admitted. He was discharged and had severe symptoms within about two days. At that point he was re-tested (this time, positive) and readmitted to the hospital where he died days later... His first two tests were probably false negatives!
