They tested negative after a very long waiting period for results. Long story short, my doctor said she was seeing 30% false negatives in cases here...and essentially said they were likely positive cases. One family member is getting an antibody test shortly, as that is now rolling out here. Sorry, that message is no longer in the database. |

A man was diagnosed on March 17, released from hospital end of March. And now he has virus again as well as 6 others connected to him. This is why they are retesting the entire population of Wuhan - eleven million people. Quoting: nightowl [link to twitter.com (secure)] I experienced that, as did other family members that got sick. Anonymous Coward User ID: 8180669 United States 05/14/2020 06:27 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Went to the ER this morning since I was sick and missed an entire week of work last week. Quoting: AkashicRecord® Originally, I was hoping to go for an all-clear so that I could officially return to work this week, but got a positive diagnosis for COVID-19 and a two-week quarantine instead! This wasn't that surprising to me, since I was quite ill, but didn't have coughing or breathing issues...just everything else for about a full week. Luckily, for work (and being a Union member) I can still get paid while out...without needing sick time. Obviously, not the case for many that are taken out of work temporarily due to this virus. I had my yearly exam last month and the office procedures were like you describe. This was a major improvement in my book. I hope you feel better soon. |

Now it's just about waiting out the quarantine period. Quoting: AkashicRecord® I wanted to briefly share my experiences with the non-believers, especially about the "empty ER rooms" stuff, and the fact that many don't know anyone infected (or dead) from COVID-19. I had a young (age 30) co-worker recently die from this, and the father of a family friend also perished a few days ago, so it is not really a joke... I talked to a coworker today who has a friend that passed from CV. He is the first person I have talked to who knows someone that passed from it. Get well soon |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78641122 Get better It's Connecticut, and they didn't feel wasting a test on me that late on the game would have been worth anything. I've been exposed to a number a people who had this virus, so it was just par for the course...and a bit of a ticking time bomb. The doctor that saw me told me that 1/3rd of tests are turning up false negatives! We had a few severely ill family members here over the weeks, some are first responders, and every test was coming up (rather impossibly) negative...but it was also taking about 10 days for results, so that's no bueno! I don't put much faith in the results of some of these tests right now. You have to go with symptoms first, tests secondary... Do you think it's possible they were coming up negative because that's not what they were sick with? Not in these cases. Too many people with too many symptoms for far too long. The tests (and lag time) fucked it all up as well.. Not so fast... You didn't have breathing or coughing issues... The hallmark of rona, but no need to test for a positive diagnosis because other people have symptoms that may or may not match yours. And it's spring, there's hay fever, there's colds, there's air pollution, people cleaning off mothballed work equipment... Nope, can't be those things... It's the rona These numbers are a joke. |

He supposedly had a fever that day. For something so contagious it must be a miracle that None of us caught it, including our 3 children that were there with us. Her aunt and uncle even have two adult children that are temporarily living with them and they never caught it either...
