I stocked up on green-tip ammo...I can put a round anywhere I want with precision, but I really don't see the need to kill something a mile away...the only drawback is I'm not allowed to shoot them at the indoor range nearby...so I just buy a couple boxes to plink with when I go... Similar to a .357 how its necked down. A .338 anything I think is a little overboard for an automatic m4 platform but would be sufficient replacement for the m40b or whatever that long range designation is. I dunno. I think longer range doesnt necessarily mean better. Take the .300 blackout for instance. Its a .30cal in a 55.56 case with the neck cut off. I think that is the most innovative round to hit the market in years . I think that round should be explored as a replacement for an automatic combat rifle. |

I agree with the .300 Norma completely. But they think the .338 Norma will replace the .50 BMG, and I strongly disagree. They better hang onto the Barrett .50 cals. and their Raufoss rounds. Supersonic past 1,000 yards. .510 G1 So I guess the round you're talking about might push it an extra 100 yards supersonic, but I always kind of thought if you're seriously concerned with 1,000+ yard performance you should ditch intermediates altogether. But that just might be the 6.5 Grendel nerd in me talking; and to be honest I haven't looked into the round you're talking about extensively. Any advantage over the 6.5G that you know of? |

In my real world life I don't have a problem with standing up to those with solid evidence of corruption from either side, of any issue or place. Many are they in this world that need to be rooted out. That makes me a target to be destroyed by very powerful people, I understand this. At some point we have to stand up for what is right before God. I have done this, lived this way, and will continue to do so till they finish me off or I croak of natural causes. |

Apparently the 6mm ARC is a little better on ballistics down range than the Grendel with less recoil because of the lighter bullet, more like the 5.56. Those velocities are impressive. Supersonic at 1400+ yards out of a .243? And thatll hit a bit harder than a 5.56nato too due to the increase in weight and OD. ID SEE THAT BEING AN UPGRADE IN ANY DESERT. I think youd also need something with a bit farther sight picture than a eotech 552 or a trijicon acog to make use of the rounds increased range with Maybe 45 degree irons ? Perhaps a scope with a smol pic rail on top for a holographic? |
