I've dropped about 90 pounds by following this advice to an extreme degree. Usually a person needs to run 10 miles a day. I did it passively. Just not hungry and have MOAR energy because fat is an energy source when burned. No, I don't run or exercise either. FYI cell phones and WiFi increase exposure to positively charged oxygen ions. Have you noticed how fat everyone is getting? |

That doesn't make us gluttons, we've eaten A LOT throughout history. Actually, in medieval times, people would eat a tremendous amount of food, mainly breads. Here's the difference: humans throughout history had to physically work their asses off to survive. And I mean WORK. There was dawn to dusk toiling to do, scratching out enough food to survive, it was tough and such incredibly hard work that it took a helluva lot of food to keep going. And that's the difference. We still have the biological desire to eat like hell, but we sits on our asses to do our work or we barely move. Just nothing like what it took ... oh, also, back then we shivered or sweated. Both of those used a lot of body energy and burned through a lot of fat. Human bodies weren't meant to have it so easy. |

Humans aren't cows. We don’t have two stomachs and we don’t chew cud. The body has to shut down to break down green vegetables. Steam and caramelize all vegetables to remove chlorophyll and nitrogen. Fish, sea green, limited fruits but dont have a low sugar attack. Chicken, eggs, turkey, very little clean red meats. Suppliment well focusing on minerals, not vitamins. |

You can only increase intake by about 150-200 calories a day from whatever your weight loss Amounts were. So if you were at 1400 a day during weight loss maintenance can only be 1500-1600 per day. This is hard to do. Most people think maintenance means quite a bit more, hence they gain the weight back and quickly. I’ve only been able to significantly lower my weight through eliminating entire food groups and fasting, with several decades of experience going back to 1987. I do maintain a very low weight, 90 lbs, and never weighed more than 120. But getting from 115 to 90 something did entail major changes, and nothing like a standard diet and exercise. Calories do not matter; there are stories all over the Internet for the last 10 years of people radically experimenting with what and how much they eat. Calories are now almost entirely debunked. People are losing and keeping off crazy amounts of weight on diets like carnivore, paleo, Ray Peat (read the forum), vitamin a free. Many diet roads today are leading back to paleo, but some people are having success by increasing calories and eating pretty widely. I ate a carton of ice cream a week all summer and barely gained a lb., but will go back dairy free over the winter because vitamin a and also can’t afford to get sick. |
