As near as I can find , this old America system should be able to be revived , component list , schematics.. Esp to the 10 million Armenian Diaspora..( some of which are ,well gangsters)

Peaceful semi espionage , and some R& D

It would make an adaptable seeker head to be produced for UAV or ground release and multiple and blanket Radar coverage

Its the AIM -C sidewinder electronics which is a reliable semi active system that was modified to radar home .

And ,as you know , the drone team is focusing on finding the radar and destroying it.. So a possible solution is to make so many radar transmitters that they can't even pick out which one is the real threat..

Farfetched..mabey. But this stuff was built in the 60's and can be modernised ..was designed to shoot down Jets..

These things ain't jets , just a toy airplane at 20,000 feet..

Point . engage your asymmetric forces to find a solution ...eventually... Mabey old east block Arms maker can whip up a prototype system ..

Idea use broadcast only radar to paint enemy UAV and launch anything to home in on signal..

Multiple units not tied to control system are harder to target , unmanned for the most part , and should be cheap..

The SARH AIM-9C was only used with the Navy'S F8U Crusader fighters to provide these with an all-weather capability without having to fit a Sparrow-compatible radar. However, the AIM-9C was not very successful, and only 1000 were built by Motorola between 1965 and 1967. Many were later converted into AGM-122A Sidearm anti-radiation missiles.

Modern systems are trending twords adding control electronics to dumb weapons .. But this stuff is 50 years old and you could send someone to visit Rayethon and see if its even classified.
