Your math is wrong. The earth rotates once every 24 hours but that rotation does not keep geosynclines pace. Well, above the equator, the further north you go, there is more daylight hours on June 6 than on Dec 6. In northern Canada, on June 6, there is daylight at 3:00 AM, until about 11:00 PM. If you go even further north, the sun doesn’t even set on June 6. On Dec 6, the sun doesn’t come up until about 9:30, and it starts getting dark at 2:00. Further north, the sun never rises on Dec 6

The opposite is true south of the equator. So daylight on June 6/Dec 6 at noon differs depending where on earth you are.

And while we’re on the subject, can you tell me what mechanics are involved in keeping the sun, moon and stars in rotation over the earth? Wires? Magnets?

And why can I see the tops of distant thunderhead clouds when the bottom part of the cloud is below the horizon?

And can you tell me why the earth’s shadow is round when it blots out the moon during an eclipse? And how exactly can there even be eclipses if both the sun and moon are whirling above a stationary earth below them?

And what would someone from Jupiter see looking up at their sky at the earth? Would they see a flat coin-shaped object? At what angle? The edge? Full on, like a pizza pie?
