The woman obviously had a REAL fear the cops were going to take her children from her and she turned into a mama bear in those few minutes. Crazy, but that's pretty much what irrational (maybe she was right who knows?) fear will do. Obviously at the end of her rope and her kids were all she had left. They were probably going to take them from her, because that's what the stupid state does.

This is very bad. Very, very bad. She could have easily been taken down with a baton or by tackling her. None of the police here wanted to risk even the tinest bruise or nick on themselves doing so, hell, our NFL, NHL and so on don't mind taking a few hits for the team to win the game. Bruises. A gash. Winning the game being a cop is you don't shoot to kill a mom with her children or anyone, the goal is to keep them alive. These men were tall enough and strong enough and trained enough to do so but they ran away afraid then shot with a gun to kill only afraid for themselves instead of FOR EVERYONE.

They have Kevlar Gloves and shirtsleeve that are slice proof and his body armor should protect him from a serious stab, don't they train these officers to disarm people with knives.
Why didn't the other cop taser her first that would have taken her down. Cop shot to fast, he should have been more forceful or a least shot her in the legs instead of shoot to kill. She look like she was protecting her children and was afraid.

I think the general idea is for the people to hate the cops to a previously unimaginable degree, and to push for a massive cut to US police budgets, down to a mere fraction of what they are today.

OK...I see these type of stories about cops all the time lately..with all types of people and animals.

With the people...One incident...a guy on a stolen tractor with a gun on the seat.

This one, a woman with a knife and two small children.

Are these "cops" really such panicked idiots that they cannot BACK up for 2 minutes? Instead they always seem to just start yelling...and the next instance shoot to kill.

They shoot people and they shoot animals without even trying to calm them some.

COULD they at least try to shoot them in the arm or foot...or can they not even aim that precisely in their obvious fearful panic.
