Anonymous Coward User ID: 79917629 United States 03/07/2021 11:58 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Czechia did worse than US states where the government thinks the virus doesn't exist. Quoting: R. Wordsworth I am honestly not 100% sure if masks don't actually make things worse. Proper masks, proper eye protection, proper decon.... They could have been taught. It’s too late. Everyone is burnt. They do work. I haven’t been sick .... and I am surrounded by facing touchers. :) You haven't been sick because you wear a mask? Correlation is not causation. What about individuals who didn't get sick and never wore a mask? What about these studies below? Not to mention Fauci said himself "bacterial pneumonia" was the primary cause of death in the 1918 "pandemic". How was that caused?? [link to www.mediaite.com (secure)] [link to www.breitbart.com (secure)] Did they really work? I hope you know this "variant" is nothing more than to pressure those who didn't take the jab and will be considered the "driving force" and blamed for the new variant spread. "Social control" Normalcy Bias.... You focused on MASK. You need more data points. Let’s start with the 1918 pandemic..... mouth hygiene was not as easy is now. And antibiotics did not become accessible until the 1940s. So that correlation has Zero Fucks to do with the US and 21st century masks. Next assumption.... oh the cry of fake variants to control the population.... even if that were remotely possible.... I have seen enough case studies (and we are all currently watching South America fall) to take personal responsibility while those that are choosing the opposite play a game of chance that DOES NOT end at infection. Proper PPE..... is a series of items and the donning and doffing of them properly. The public has been done the LARGEST disservice in modern history. Normalcy bias? As opposed to what other bias? And disservice? You don't think these "experts" have made mistakes as well? Your assumption seems to be based solely of the accuracy of these cases and test. Read the articles. They can tell you where to find your data points . |

User ID: 59390060 United States 03/07/2021 04:04 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hi Folks I am still around, hopping between the threads, just not posting much. Regarding allergies and COVID ... I'm thinking that being in an allergic state might make one a bit more prone to catching the virus. Allergies activate the immune system, and potentially deplete the immune response much as a vaccine does temporarily. Also, raw, irritated nasal passages.... just my two cents and my thoughts... but ever had an allergy attack turn into a sinus infection or respiratory infection? Seems to open the door to opportunistic pathogens. As for the rest of the news... I'm still expecting another surge, if only due to human stubborness and opening too soon. I guess we watch and wait, and I think it may be time replenish my backstock of coffee. Honestly, I am burnt on news. I'm taking something of a break from it, and just concentrating on doing what needs to be done right in front of me. I have to venture into the world a bit this next week or two, which makes me nervous .... but I'll mask up and do it. Looks like freedom but it feels like death. It's something in between I guess... it's closing time. Lenonard Cohen |

DEFCON 4 User ID: 52530071 United States 03/07/2021 09:28 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So I read 16 states are reopening fully and no mask mandates. Quoting: dyin Brazil, UK and SA variants confirmed just a week or two ago.... They want this madness to spread don't they. Why else? I just don't get it at all. And isn't the UK opening up too? Or at least schools?? I barely keep up on any news cuz I'm just so burned out reading the incompetence still, after AN ENTIRE YEAR I am only keeping up for logistical and to know when the virus goes full Captain Tripps reasons. No. That’s not completely right. I keep up with the research to help others too. That's where I'm at currently. I'm so tired of dealing with people that I can't see straight. I follow this thread to keep myself informed on what's coming - I'm through sharing that information with anyone else. We are prepared for any contingency now and that's all I care about. We got through the winter and I only used two ricks of wood for the fireplace, so all that firewood I stockpiled is now just going to give me a great start on next winter. I have serious fatigue on this pandemic, but even more fatigue on the idiocy it has unleashed. So I'm still around but I'm using this lull between waves to unplug and lower my personal alert level a notch so I can mentally reboot. This weekend I unloaded some weapons that have been locked and loaded for a year now. Next weekend I'll disassemble and clean them and put them back in secure storage. We're also focusing on conducting a very thorough spring cleaning of the entire house. I'd suggest everyone else take some emotional downtime as well. We're probably going to need it.
