I liked monster movies when I was little. OK I'm old. The Twilight Zone was on , the one with William Shatner as a plane passenger who sees the gremlin on the wing. He looks out the window, it's there, it's gone, it's there again. He closes the curtain on his window and reads something. He looks at the window, rips the curtain away and the thing has its fucking face pressed up against the the glass. Accompanied by a dissonant horn blast. I got up ran across the room screaming and buried my face in a chair seat TURN IT OFF!!! TURN IT OFF!!!"I didn't watch anything scary for about three years after that.

I watched that just last week after seeing the twilight zone movie. I forgot about the original version.
I have vague memories of it as a child but I remember that bigfoot type costume the gremlin wore

46:27 in. As a 5 year old it scared the shit out of me. I remember it to this very day. Now 50...

I never watched the older version but I loved the 1995 outer limits. I used to stay up till 2 or 3am it was on so late. I was only about 12

I have memories of this somewhere in the back of my mind. That is terrifying for a young child to watch, the screeching and stabbing of the Alien.
Its similar to the scene in Prometheus 2 when the alien grabs the girl and giant.

Its weird though I was scared about what was under my bed as a child but I don't know why. I don't remember any movies or shows that would scare me like that but I use to jump from the bed when I had to go to the bathroom at night and jump back into it

They would show this movie on TV called, "The Portrait of Dorian Gray". That portrait, in the original movie, which was painted by Ivan Albright, always scared the hell out of me when I was a child. That sickly sweet, little man, who was really evil inside, that played Dorian, scared me too.
