Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72579248 Not profitable. They'll just add a module to automatically contact PD and issue a speeding ticket whether you go over. But don't worry, it won't add points to your license. They are cruel but fair. From many, covfefe |

This is the sort of creeping authoritarianism that bothers me a lot. Are they going to stop doing DUI checkpoints because of this? You fucking know they won't! This isn't something to make you more free, this is something designed to make you much less free in fact. Insane and cost crazy. They won't As someone who got caught up in the DUI racket twice and other times blew a .08, I'd rather have my car refuse to start until I'm under their BS safety number then pop a DUI because my tail light and headlight were out as with what happened to me. Never pulled over for my driving always some cockamamie that did me in and their .08 is complete bs. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80550127 Nobody cares about your bullshit. Im not blow starting a car because apes and dead. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72579248 Why do you think they’re so hot for self-driving cars and ‘smart’ roads? Very shortly, our personal vehicles will become nothing more than tiny, overly-expensive busses or trains. The average person gets priced out of such a ‘luxury.’ People are forced to use mass transit. That forces people to move to cities. Population control - done. “A person is smart, people are stupid.” “Nobody knows until everybody knows” |

Quoting: Larphillips You make an excellent point... The only way these things even work for DWI ignition interlock is because they install a camera, which is inseparable from its operation, because there are a million and one ways to get around the actual blowing part undetected. No brainer. Quit being so cheap. “Quite an experience to live in fear, isn't it? This guy thinks the government babysitting him is a good thing. He needs to have government regulated safe guards in place to protect him from himself thereby absolving himself(and everyone else) of his own irresponsible behaviour |

Im in partial to it, i believe alot of irresponsible people need that , who have addiction prolems, however what about airplane pilots, why not make that mandatory....lots more lives are at stake, and they cant be pulled of at a check point to be stopped....Im all for Airlines making that mandatory as there have been some cases of drunk pilots recently |
