Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78063540 The automobile will become a rich mans sport, just like aviation. And just like aviation, you'll be using their public transportation, because you'll go where they want you to go. “A person is smart, people are stupid.” “Nobody knows until everybody knows” |

This is the sort of creeping authoritarianism that bothers me a lot. Are they going to stop doing DUI checkpoints because of this? You fucking know they won't! This isn't something to make you more free, this is something designed to make you much less free in fact. so what if a woman goes out and drinks and is given a drug and kidnapped later wakes up and escapes the kidnappers that plan on torturing and killing the woman but the woman manages to get to a car to escape but then cant because has alcohol in system and None of this has anything to do with your fantasies.. now be gone! |

You can what if what if what if just about anything into oblivion. You're out of touch and probably male. I made a similar comment regarding women who may need to make an escape - it happens more than you know. But there are other scenarios that maybe you can wrap your head around, many reasons to need to be able to jump in the car and get somewhere in an emergency situation. Somebody already mentioned if you're out camping or simply if you're in a more rural area. Not everybody lives in the city. Sometimes you have an emergency where you need to depend on yourself. Or what if somebody calls you for help? A child, a parent, any loved one that needs your immediate assistance. You've had two beers so now you can't start your car to assist them? The thing is, there are much more severe life and death situations than a person who has had two drinks in an hour and a half. Unjabbed and Off Grid |

This isn't something to make you more free, this is something designed to make you much less free in fact. I'm torn by this. Feels like it's intrusive and will add to the cost of car, and just create an awkward situation. On the other hand, this would surely reduce drunk driving by 90%. There will always be people who fuck around with it and bypass it, but not the vast majority of people. What I would be interested in is the data that it records. You can guarantee it is something that can be pulled down. If you get into an accident is that always going to be reviewed? It only is supposed to halt if you are at the legal limit, which I think is 0.08% everywhere in the US. |

Quoting: Shadow_SNR Yeah, guess I will just not buy any more new cars....most of them are fugly anyways. That's exactly why you will be stopped by the police every time... Good luck with the officer... You are used to that sort of pig aren't you? Haha all the people on the ketogenic diet or in diabetic ketosis wont be able to start their cars!!! This is so fucking funny Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78796294 That is hilarious, also part of why it won't work. After the vax has taken the dummies this winter, the govt will be out of mouthpieces and god will be praised. ill just disable it and start a black market business disabling them for others Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77038832 fuck em if it can be installed, it can be uninstalled also, when govt mandates certain things, and those certain things break, sue the govt for cost of fixing them Exactly. This is a fact. Baby steps into having total control of "who" can go somewhere. This is terrifying, and when they use the "Safety Reasons", it infringes on our rights more and more. |

This isn't something to make you more free, this is something designed to make you much less free in fact. fines & Court income will go down. Where are they going to make up that shortfall? Ken My personal thoughts & posts are mine alone. I Love God, Jesus, good people, and the U.S.A. the way the Framers signed the Constitution and Bill of Rights. In my real world life I don't have a problem with standing up to those with solid evidence of corruption from either side, of any issue or place. Many are they in this world that need to be rooted out. That makes me a target to be destroyed by very powerful people, I understand this. At some point we have to stand up for what is right before God. I have done this, lived this way, and will continue to do so till they finish me off or I croak of natural causes. |
