Quoting: Captain KC Jones In recent years, scientists have warned about a weakening of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC), which transports warm, salty water from the tropics to northern Europe and then sends colder water back south along the ocean floor. Researchers who study ancient climate change have also uncovered evidence that the AMOC can turn off abruptly, causing wild temperature swings and other dramatic shifts in global weather systems. These indicators suggest that the AMOC is running out of steam, making it more susceptible to disruptions that might knock it out of equilibrium, said study author Niklas Boers, a researcher at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research in Germany. If the circulation shuts down, it could bring extreme cold to Europe and parts of North America, raise sea levels along the U.S. East Coast and disrupt seasonal monsoons that provide water to much of the world. [link to www.washingtonpost.com (secure)] Bullshit The amoc is tied to the sun fairly well. CO2 is plant food HempWillSaveTheWorld Vi Veri Vniversum Vivus Vici |

So. How many SUVs were those ancient people driving around and destroying the climate with, to cause the ancient climate change? Isn't it hilarious that in the same fucking paragraph they can say that the current climate change is 100% our fault, but the same changes in the past were not. Amazing... A reminder that there have been many oil spills in the GOM. I can remember oil on South Padre Island beaches as a child. All these spills make layers on the bottom and Dispersants make sure the results spread along the currents disrupting salt to water concentration. |

By the way, global warming fear mongering grew his wealth from barely a few million to hundreds of millions of dollars. You can pay as many taxes as you want and Govt will NEVER be able to stop what's happening. Sure, man-made pollution is bad and we don't want that, which should be addressed. But CO2 is NOT a toxin and besides when a Volcano erupts more CO2 is released than all of man-kind throughout all of recorded history. Man-made climate change is all about control and $$. |

Between crop failures for a myriad of reasons to marine harvesting failures. Prepare for a worldwide famine. |
