If someone is killed by said discharge, whoever fired the weapon and loaded the weapon should be looking at manslaughter charges in most states of the USA. Hollywood often seems to be "above the law" it seems, so I doubt if actual criminal charges will be pursued, even if justified.  I exist. |

There is an online movie firearms database full of firearms real or fake (Hellboy’s hand cannon) used in movies. I think this is a case of arrogant artist knowitalls in a hurry to shoot a scene and dispensed with proper firearms etiquette. How long have we been making movies with guns in them? Over a hundred years, and no one knows how to safely handle a gun on set? This is BS. Yes...the only personal experience I have was on "Free State of Jones", but I was issued, and fired, a real, functioning 1853 Enfield black powder rifle, loaded with everything except the lead shot. I still have the percussion cap primers. I would imagine a point blank hit in the face would hurt. They also used other real, and completely fake, but realistic looking, rubber firearms. |
