This is obvious, as there was no REASON for him to point and shoot the prop gun. They were not filming the movie at that time, and it is standard procedure to double check the bullets if that is to occur. The crew that loaded the live bullets is complicit too, but Baldwin was fully aware and complicit too. She was to be a witness against Clinton associates and had already given testimony to Durham et al. Halyna's murder is also a warning to others not to talk. EOZT |

User ID: 81033420 United States 10/23/2021 09:16 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Why was assistant director handling the weapon at all? Armorer should have been handling all weapons. Period. Full Stop. Quoting: The Woodsie Out of control production. In my experience in Low Budget Movie Making, the professional crew (i.e., actual professionals instead of 'wanna-bes') were the camera crew, grips, and electric dept. The "production staff" (p.a.'s, assistant directors, Art Dept, props, wardrobe, etc.) were all newbies and tyros. The fact that the 'pros' walked off is a tell tale give away that this production was more than just 'troubled' but rather completely f*cked. The armorer was 24 years old? How many 24 year olds do you know that you would put in a life or death responsible position? You wouldn't give a 24 year old the gaffer job (head electrician), you wouldn't even have a 'best boy' (gaffer's head assistant) that young. These are jobs where a mistake KILLS PEOPLE. Let's assume Alec was a producer in name only (financial participation). Who was the Executive In Charge? Who hired these people to run the set? Avoidable tragedy. Shameful. These folks should never work in the industry again. This movie should never see the light of day, and I'm sure it won't being that they were not yet even half way through the shoot. No one insures this company again. whoever provided the insurance so far will pull their policy and pay it off. Too much liability. Or, Baldwin sees an opportunity to frame a nobody, loads the gun himself and kills the person who was in charge of the crew that walked off. In which case it's premeditated murder. "It's a friendly friendly world" (Andy Kaufman) Calm seas do not a sailor make, Nor easy horses, a horseman. And Jesus was a sailor when he walked upon the water And he spent a long time watching from his lonely wooden tower and when He could be certain only drowning men could see Him- Leonard Cohen |

The ATF claims they cannot be modified to shoot live ammo, however someone with a mill, a new barrel, and some machining prowess might be able to convert one. This leaves us with a story that is not plausible, probable, or possible. Use some logic with me here... If one could buy a prop gun with out a background check, or ID for that matter, then simply load live ammo in it and have a operating firearm.... —this would make the biggest joke out of all the gun laws, especially because a lot of prop pistols come with select fire, making them full-auto capable. —THIS STORY STINKS TO HIGH HEAVEN “NON-GUNS These are very similar to replica guns. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 81040827 That thought crossed my mind, too!! I heard that they all came back to find that a crew from New Mexico had replaced them. I can totally imagine some crazy person doing something spiteful to try to sabotage the production, because they had been replaced. But then again, I also read in one of the articles that the SAME GUN had "mistakenly discharged" the day before....twice. Um...if that had happened, why didn't they remove the gun from props? Or double check that the gun was empty? Or ask themselves - is it really the gun that is 'mistakenly" discharging? Or was it user error, of someone constantly pulling the trigger when they're not supposed to? And if this happened twice the day before, then why on Earth didn't they MAKE ABSOLUTELY DAMN SURE THE GUN WAS EMPTY THE NEXT DAAY? |

Most movies use the real, actual guns themselves, and fire real ammunition that has had the bullet, and some level or all of gunpowder removed, known as "blanks". It's cheaper to buy the real guns versus fake movie props. The major studios stopped using real guns for the most part over a decade ago. The warehouses were emptied out and the guns sold off at auction being replaced with blank firing props. It's still legal to shoot a movie with a real gun and some independant productions do exactly that since there are plenty of places willing to supply them but anything connected to major studio with very few exceptions would be using blank guns incapable of firing live rounds. Prop guns are generally cheaper than real guns, some examples featured in many productions are Zoraki, Bruni and Ekol and prop guns. Some really low budget production feature air guns and airsoft guns including some SciFi channel shows. There are also plenty of non-firing props that cost almost nothing but look and operate just like real guns and then of course there are rubber guns used for stunt shots. There are probably plenty of occassions where you've been looking at a fake gun in a movie or show and thought it was real. The movie Baldwin was filming was allegedly a western using real guns but with an inexperienced or at the very least inept gun handler on set. |
