How strange that we've had the "Let's Go Brandon" chant and now people are talking about Brandon Lee as a result of this Baldwin shooting. Brandon is not a common name.

It's very odd - makes me wonder if this was scripted somehow. Baldwin IS an actor.

Was Baldwin ordered to shoot Halyna Hutchins to silence her? This is obvious, as there was no REASON for him to point and shoot the prop gun. They were not filming the movie at that time, and it is standard procedure to double check the bullets if that is to occur. The crew that loaded the live bullets is complicit too, but Baldwin was fully aware and complicit too. She was to be a witness against Clinton associates and had already given testimony to Durham et al. Halyna's murder is also a warning to others not to talk.

Out of control production.

In my experience in Low Budget Movie Making, the professional crew (i.e., actual professionals instead of 'wanna-bes') were the camera crew, grips, and electric dept. The "production staff" (p.a.'s, assistant directors, Art Dept, props, wardrobe, etc.) were all newbies and tyros. The fact that the 'pros' walked off is a tell tale give away that this production was more than just 'troubled' but rather completely f*cked. The armorer was 24 years old? How many 24 year olds do you know that you would put in a life or death responsible position?

You wouldn't give a 24 year old the gaffer job (head electrician), you wouldn't even have a 'best boy' (gaffer's head assistant) that young. These are jobs where a mistake KILLS PEOPLE.

Let's assume Alec was a producer in name only (financial participation). Who was the Executive In Charge? Who hired these people to run the set? Avoidable tragedy. Shameful. These folks should never work in the industry again. This movie should never see the light of day, and I'm sure it won't being that they were not yet even half way through the shoot. No one insures this company again. whoever provided the insurance so far will pull their policy and pay it off. Too much liability.

Movie PROP guns WILL NOT and CANNOT accept or fire a live round.

IF they are ‘forward vented’ it is only a forward gas vent, —not a barrel capable of expelling a round. Not to mention, prop guns will not even chamber a real live round. They are designed to not (easily) be modified to shoot real live ammo. The ATF claims they cannot be modified to shoot live ammo, however someone with a mill, a new barrel, and some machining prowess might be able to convert one.

This leaves us with a story that is not plausible, probable, or possible.


Use some logic with me here...

If one could buy a prop gun with out a background check, or ID for that matter, then simply load live ammo in it and have a operating firearm....
—this would make the biggest joke out of all the gun laws, especially because a lot of prop pistols come with select fire, making them full-auto capable.

These are very similar to replica guns. The thing that makes these prop guns different are that they are manufactured with artificial shooting mechanisms to look AND function like the real thing. Some have blowback mechanics charged with CO2 to simulate firing the gun to make the scene seem real. Some of these special prop guns even simulate muzzle flash and have adequate sound coming from the prop.

CONCLUSION
Prop guns have been around for a long time. The film industry has been using prop guns of all types for many years. Blank guns were more common back-in-the-day but have been changed out for the replica mechanical or gas blowback airsoft types because of safety concerns.

Feel free to get yourself one if you want to see one for yourself. They are generally cheaper and are not regulated the way normal firearms are. Just be careful where you take it. Most people will not realize that it is a prop gun and not a real gun. The police will not know either.

Most movies use the real, actual guns themselves, and fire real ammunition that has had the bullet, and some level or all of gunpowder removed, known as "blanks".

It's cheaper to buy the real guns versus fake movie props.
