So complimentary, thoughtful, and lovely to behold! Thank you for your pleasantries in regard to the comment of one poster, and your general giving of wide-spread compliments upon this eve of kindness to the world in general as we celebrate thanksgiving in the generosity of spirit you show so clearly! Prayer is the most powerful force on earth. “I care not for a man's religion whose dog and cat are not the better for it.” Abraham Lincoln I sign all karma given. We have many signs of rising magma plumes in various parts of the world. Many volcanoes are erupting and many are waking up. Earth is getting warmer and no one has any idea why, apart from technophobic religion of blaming it all on human activity. I think it is gradual at first and then BOOM....it snaps into it's new alignment. That's how they find mastadon's flash frozen with fresh grass in their mouths. Quoting: Clarence Worley You could be right, or it might take years. Meanwhile our magnetic field will be very weak and we will be exposed to a lot of harmfull cosmic radiation. Our weather will take a turn for the worse creating super storms the likes of which we have never seen. We may see tecktonic plates split apart and half the oceans could be swept away in the extreme solar winds buffeting the Earths surface. I for one think we are doomed! |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79281006 If the crust reversed, then there would be no trace of past reversals. Plus the mantle isn't liquid like water, it's solid rock that's really hot and dense, floating crust is second grade science class where everything is dumbed down. The mantle shifts over time due to pressure and heat taking the crust with it, the crust is dry and brittle so it does what it does. If you think the earth is gonna flip over, you have bigger problems than the pole reversal. Its just the magnetic poles that reverse but the cosmic rays and the gamma rays will cause extreme emf waves under the earths crust ripping apart the plates and exposing huge lakes of lava over a third of the planet. Oceans will be swept away. The rest of the world will become desert like mars. ALERT: Scientist says Earth's Magnetic Poles are Flipping Right Now! [link to godlike.com (secure)] |

Long Valley Caldera [link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)] Long Valley Caldera is a depression in eastern California that is adjacent to Mammoth Mountain. The valley is one of the Earth's largest calderas, measuring about 20 mi (32 km) long (east-west), 11 mi (18 km) wide (north-south), and up to 3,000 ft (910 m) deep. Long Valley was formed 760,000 years ago when a very large eruption released hot ash that later cooled to form the Bishop tuff that is common to the area. The eruption emptied the magma chamber under the area to the point of collapse. The second phase of the eruption released pyroclastic flows that burned and buried thousands of square miles. Ash from this eruption blanketed much of the western part of what is now the United States. |

Our solar system is passing through the galactic equatorial magnetic sheet. Happens every 12,000 years. Guess what? It's been 12,000 years since the last time we travelled through it. Quoting: REINSBLUT One of the most concerning sites in InSAR was near Mammoth Lakes, a hamlet in the Sierra Nevada highlands. "Right here in the center, you see there's a resurgent dome," Mr. Peacock said, pointing to a map made from the data. A blazing-hot red spot is depicted just beneath the Earth, indicating the presence of magma. "Something beneath it is pulling it higher," Mr. Peacock continued. Studying Volcanic Activities Mr. Peacock and Mr. Nelson set up a pair of sensor pipes immediately above the site. The InSAR data revealed the resurgent dome and checked for signals of problems deep below to see if the Long Valley Caldera was coming back to life. The pipes assisted the two scientists in detecting changes in the Earth's magnetic field, allowing them to establish whether any liquid existed underneath. They observed enormous volumes of liquid beneath the domes' surface during the experiments, indicating volcanic activity. [link to www.natureworldnews.com (secure)] :shiteyshite: |

Quoting: pish Love skiing there in the winter months, as its one of the best ski destinations in the US, and accessible, but I always remeber the constant little quakes you feel when you are there. Also if you are driving up from So-Cal...going through that valley, and seeing all the volcanic rock, and obvious tectonic made structures...makes you feel pretty uneasy, becuase its so in your face how crazy it was there at one point in history. Not somewhere you'd want to be for sure. Devil's postpile is a cool landmark to visit, as are the hot springs in the area, but it is what it is. Be there at your own risk. Don't go into the valley with the dead trees !!! They were killed by leaking volcanic gases. Helping Humanity is always the Tyrants Alibi |
