Is it idolatry? I've heard stories about the Rosary saving peoples lives, guiding them, etc. Does it have any value or true power behind it?

Re: Anyone pray the Rosary? Or have any thoughts or reflections about it?
Our Father, being with us all of the time, certainly wouldn't frown upon such dedication. It is a beautifully meditative style of prayer. Regardless of arguments concerning the validity of various religious practices, faith and dedication to God are particularly valuable and fruitful in these times. Calculating accountability for idolatry would require some conscious level of understanding the identification or development of idols by the idolater. There is innocence in ignorance and the intentions and works of individual Catholics matter.

Bible says don't pray fixed prayers at cut stone alters or call any man father.

Catholics proceed to create rosary, prey fixed prayers to Virgin Mary, have super fancy alters and call their priest father.

Oh, hold my beer, AND have a crucifix hanging behind the alter. As well as all kinds of other statues.

Oh and hold my other beer, pieces of bone from dead "saints" embedded in/under the alter.

Its a Roman Catholic thing.

If your pure of heart and believe, it might be good.

But as a tradition it means nothing.

The power is in belief.
Always remember these words: Work hard, study well, and eat and sleep plenty! That is the Turtle Hermit way! We must master the art of peace in addition to the art of war!

In Hinduism
The japa mala of Hinduism is used to direct and count the recitation of mantras during meditation. It usually consists of 108 beads strung in a circle to represent the cyclic nature of life. Many also feature a larger guru or bindu bead that marks the start and end of the strand.

To your question, no. It's idolotry or like voodoo giving inanimate stuff mojo that doesn't belong there. Probably not mojo, don't know how else to say it.

Look at similarities around the world.

Come out of her, My People he states.

They all traditionally require candles. Think upon just that. Shaved heads, etc.

Really worth a watch to consider these traditions of men many follow after, such as yes birthdays and holidays with an I in middle instead of a Y.

It is certainly difficult to defend this type of prayer. One thing to also consider is that it is a prayer asking for Mary to pray.

Prayer should be done privately to refrain from vanity, too.

Again, accountability is important and in these times any act of dedication seems valuable. Rather than accusing, condemning, and criticizing, we should embrace faith from all religions.

Our Father knows our desires and concerns before we speak them. He desires a personal relationship with each one of us. He also desires for us to love each other. In that, it is best to not focus on our differences. We must love each other and look to our commonalities in faith. Let accountability rest on the shoulders of teachers that knowingly lead us astray. Let innocence rest in the hearts of those that have good intentions and seek Him.

Simply put, it is better to pray incorrectly than to never pray at all. As we deepen our knowledge of Him, we can find faults in all denominations. It is our choice to focus on those or to see the truth in each one. Some aspects of each denomination have driven me to anger, but they all share our Father in common. Love is the core of them. That should be our focus.

Christianity has become a messy branch of ]vdaism. Individual relationships with our Father and the Holy Spirit are what matter. If these denominations develop those relationships in any way for any individuals, they are worth it even with broken, bent, missing, and misshapen truths.

The Rosary is a Scriptural prayer in which the major events in the lives of Jesus and Mary are recalled and meditated upon. There are twenty “mysteries”, or events, in all. Next to Holy Mass, the Rosary is the most powerful prayer we have. Yes, miracles have been attributed to its faithful recitation; two major ones are the Miracle of Lepanto and the Miracle of Hiroshima…but there are many smaller ones happening all the time. The Rosary would only be idolatrous is one were to worship the Virgin Mary or the strand of beads, neither or which mentally balanced Catholics do.

“In Essentials Unity, In Non-essentials Liberty, in all Things Love”

Having said that, there are practices in 'christian' religions ( I use the term 'religion' pejoratively) that the Scriptures clearly condemn.

- Nowhere are we enjoined to ask for or pray to the dead.
- Celibacy of the 'priesthood' is clearly condemned.
- Salvation is by Grace through Faith ONLY, not of works.

Many other points of serious contention exist between religious systems. Ecumenical thrust aside, believers in salvation by Grace through Faith will never submit to or condone 'religious' practices.

The reason that the panoply of Christianity has become so messy is religion. Period.

Blind faith in religious practices keeps our sword and senses dull and does no honor to the Holy Spirit, whose job it is to teach us.

My only 1 true and brilliant conspiracy friend that I can discuss any GLP topic with is a firm believer in our blessed Mother and prays the Rosary strongly

"And she shall crush the serpent with her heel"

You see,it has to be Mary for she is an evolved version of Eve who was tricked by the Serpent, now she must correct her error.

It can be like a mantra with all the same benefits

Rosary Prayer as Christian Mantra

Rosary prayer, in its outward form, is really the repetition of a Christian mantra. This connects those who pray the rosary with all their sisters and brothers in other traditions who also use mantra prayer. In fact, other traditions often use strings of beads. The Christian rosary itself may be patterned after Moslem prayer beads which crusaders brought back from the Middle East.

Well, here’s what Christ said about praying in such a manner:

And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.” - Matthew 6:7

Saying the Lord’s Prayer of the Hail Mary repeatedly is exactly what He said not to do.

Catholics are not Christians; they are following a derivation of the ancient Babylonian Mystery Religion.

If you’re in it, get out - now. The hour is late...

The Most Holy Virgin in these last times in which we live has given a new efficacy to the recitation of the Rosary to such an extent that there is no problem, no matter how difficult it is, wheter temporal or above all spiritual, in the personal life of each one of us, of our families…that cannot be solved by the Rosary. There is no problem, I tell you, no matter how difficult it is, that we cannot resolve by the prayer of the Holy Rosary.
