Now there’s also a major hiccup in the chain of chicken products. Wayne Farms previously recalled 30,285 pounds of ready-to-eat chicken breast fillet products because they may be undercooked, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The recall was originally issued on April 29, but was reissued and expanded to 585,030 pounds on May 7 when the original recall did not root out the undercooked chicken. Millions of ducks, chickens, and other poultry across the U.S. and Europe have died this year in a bird-flu scare. Early in May, Oklahoma became the 31st state to confirm that the avian flu had reached its borders, with the Sooner state joining the nation in beginning to institute mass euthanizing of poultry to try and stop the advance of the disease, NPR reported. |

Another 6 months before they themselves lay their first eggs, which are not the greatest. All I am saying it the pultery industry can recover within the year if people do not demand so many eggs. |

I work about 80 hours a week, most of the year. Used to have a job where the commute totaled 4.5 hours per day, sometimes more depending on traffic. Me wondering who the hell eats pricey, ready to eat breast fillets over cheaper, healthier options has nothing to do with empathy smart guy. This is just another fear mongering post, or are you really that dense? |

Don't people cook them again before eating them? Quoting: Paul Drake This is pre cooked ready to eat chicken in bags and plastic containers. People put it on salads, cold sandwiches, etc. |
