I've been hearing about wet bulb conditions for atleast 20 years, it's not something just recently made up, and yes it's always been dangerous. As other posters have said, when the air is too humid, sweating ceases to cool you down. Standing in front of a room full of fans will do nothing either since it's only a wind chill effect. Without an AC, many can and will die due to slowly overheating.

Even temperatures as low as 94 with 80%+ humidity can cause a spike in deaths, humans can only tolerate these conditions for awhile. but those making it out like it's perfectly livable have no clue what they're talking about.

If the US grid failed for an extended period, ignoring all other causes of death, id have to bet 10s of millions would die within days with how many states average 70% humidity.

Yep. I can't even attempt to tend or water the garden until 7pm! Any earlier and I end up with headache and nausea and in bed for the rest of the day. It's so bad here in NE Texas that I had to put 40% shade cloth over my cukes because they were withering. Oh, and we haven't had any decent rain in weeks! It's really bad this year, and its only going to get worse going forward.

Clearly you haven't lived in or visited anywhere tropical. I've lived in Okinawa (hot and humid as the Devil's ass crack), Seoul (hot and humid as fat chick underboob) and traveled all through Southeast Asia (hot and humid as Richard Simmons's A-hole at a Chippendale show). I, and many others, worked and worked out in the exact conditions you described.

I'm still here, as are literally millions of others, and millions are, of course, elderly.

We've used the wet bulb measurement technique in the military for decades. Guess what... many of us still exercised and went about our jobs, even under "black flag." Do people get heat stroke? Yes. Can people die? Yes. But trust me, humans are way more resilient that you know.

The sun is not the same as the 80s and 90s used to ride bikes without sunscreen play all day in heat. Only wore it at pool or lake or beach. We had a gathering and after a couple hours wife felt sick from heat I had a two day headache from it. I guess it’s the particulate from chem trail spraying acting as a reflection of the sun cooking us more. Toss in emf rf and spike proteins and it’s a hell on earth.

Holy God...only the zombies buy this crap. Everything under the sun now killing people unexpectedly EXCEPT the jabs.

Both are nearing uninhabitable conditions as climate change worsens.

I only looked at the Amazon, but temperatures there generally reach low 90s in the day and low 70s at night. The high temps combined with high heat aren't persistent through the whole day. There's also the significant chance it will rain to cool you.

Don't get me wrong though. You can very easily still die of overheating in the jungle, wet bulb is still an issue.

When you increase the temperature of a water filled environment, the humidity will rise.

So, it might be a good idea to know where it's not going to be as wet?

The short answer is, however, that as the temperature of the planet goes up, the average humidity will as well.

The long answer is that humidity will go up and down, and not every hot day is going to be that humid. We might be seeing an increase of blag flag days, for the elderly and young, as well as those who can't handle heat very well due to medical issues.
