It's not the political operatives, though.

On Thursday, he announced that they had charged 20 people with voter fraud. They were mostly in Miami-Dade and Broward.

The governor said they voted while being convicted of murder or sexual assault which is a violation of Florida law.

"They do not have the right to vote, they have been disenfranchised under Florida law. Amendment 4 that passed specifically included people who have been convicted of sexual assault and homicide from being able to have an automatic restoration of their voting rights. They did not go through any process, they did not get their rights restored, and yet they went ahead and voted anyway," said DeSantis.

To be fair and accurate though, these were not people photocopying hundreds of ballots and doing a mass dump of them into "vote by mail" fraud boxes.

These were individuals who cast a single vote. The reason it is being charged as vote fraud is because those individuals were banned from voting due to criminal history.

I can't wait for the prosecutions of the 2000 Mules to begin... though I won't be holding my breath.

Florida had a near perfect 2020 election. They're prosecuting people who voted and should not have.

They are enforcing the law with a specialized force.

The whole thing from the near perfect election, to the enforcement of ALL election law, is a nice template to follow.

Election law, in a representative republic, is worthy of strict enforcement. Toe-the-line and get it right every time.

I trust Florida elections right now.

I do not trust any other election in any other state or nation.
