The manufacturer plate said 1892, the plate was kept in an office and was probably the only original part of it by the 70's It had the screw down trigger thing, and the action was really smooth. The start of The Rifleman tv series where Chuck Connors is rapid firing a .32 lever action is a very accurate depiction of that rifle. A .32 of course has substantial stopping power which is useful against larger game, wild pigs, goats, roos. We only deterred those enough that they didn't eat all our young crops, and they'd stick to their grassland in the hills. My old grandpa would fire at them with his .303 from long distance which mostly kept them away. Took some doing though, he bought his ammo as machine gun belts in those steel military boxes. I remember helping him pick the individual rounds out of the black spring steel bands. |

Quoting: -Kate- There’s not too many people here, closest city is Edmonton 3 plus hours away. The majority here are awake to WEF plans, and there’s lots of places to bugout. The few people is what I like about it. DIDN'T TRUDEAU FORCE YOU TO GET VAXXED? Then vaxxed agains, then boosted, then boosted again and agains? If you are not vaxxed, how did you escape it, and still be able to go about business as usual. There are many of us not vaxxed, my one son lost his job, my other 2 did not. The son who lost his job got his original one back and has an unvaxxed baby. One son is a chef and one is a security guard. Friends unvaxxed, their families unvaxxed, many of my vaxxed father's wealthier friends, who he assumed were vaxxed like him, are not, will never be, run businesses and farms, and the one told me he was working out how to protect his grandson who was starting school but they may be home schooling. So, there are quite a few of us and most of those mandates ended, border ones didn't and rumor says they are ending soon, because he's a laughing stock of the free world. I can hear the coyotes howl at night, and the little birds and pheasants during the day. Outside of winter, there's always a little breeze comes up at about noon, and I can listen to the wind in the pines. There is a wild rose beside the door. There is no TV, no noisy appliances, only a faint traffic noise sometimes. Listening, just listening, brings a calm to the mind and a peace to the heart. Quoting: Lily o' the Valley We left our neighborhood a couple years back and out to land. I grew up like this, I can’t believe how much I missed that silence where all you hear is the sounds the wind rustles up. Are you still in western WA? No, we abandoned the wet side a while ago. Living happily here in the Intermountain West (as they now call it, otherwise known as the Dry Side.) Not too far from the foothills of the north edge of the Sawtooths. Wouldn't go back. This is family land, some first memories are from this ranch. Edited by me Last Edited by Lily o' the Valley on 09/18/2022 10:16 PM *** Good deeds bring rewards, bad actions bring troubles. Anonymous Coward User ID: 73382570 United States 09/18/2022 10:15 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Why ? Explain ? I've heard this before..drugs are legal there right ? More personal freedoms ? I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE DRUG/FREEDOM ASPECTS. I HAVE FRIENDS WITH A VACATION HOME THERE. IT IS SPARSELY POPULATED. PRIMARILY FISHING AND FARMING. VERY TEMPERATE COASTAL AREAS AND BEAUTIFUL. NOT A HUGE TOURIST DESTINATION. I WOULD BE THERE OR PATAGONIA IF IT WERE SOLELY UP TO MY MONKEY MIND...BUT I LIVE WHERE I DO NOW BASED UPON MY TRUSTING "SPIRIT" THE MAIN APPEAL I FOUND IN PARAGUAY WAS THE WEATHER, THE BEAUTY AND THE LOW POPULATION DENSITY. Are you sure you are talking about Paraguay? Not Uruguay instead? Because Paraguay is a land locked country, it has no access to the sea, so i don't know what temperate coastal areas you are talking about. Thanks for catching that. I always confuse the two. Uruguay is the one I meant. I hope nobody just packed their stuff for Paraguay. |

I just can’t handle all the freaking liberals there though. Quoting: Texas Best Taos and Santa Fe are bad.. Bad is putting it mildly. They are the worst type of liberals you could ever imagine. Such a shame. It would be a nice place otherwise. All the pink and blue green lefty whackos live and hang out in the cities. I live in Northern New Mexico way out in the middle of nowhere. No issues here, so far. Everyone votes Democrat but me. All that Alpine growth is pretty much black now. |

The Beach Boys, Sandra Dee, Hobie surfboards. It quickly fell into a leftist shithole by the late 60’s. Yep, went to POP many times in the early 60s...so much fun...the diving bell, rotor where the floor drops out from underneath you, the roller coaster over the water...good times! |

Now this is what got me interested into moving there, the place is safe as I have ever seen. The wildlife there is pretty harmless and the people who live their know something. When I got talking to people in pubs and local shopping centres its people from all over the world moving there except the Blacks. Plenty of Asians and Europeans are moving there even Nepalize are working there in pubs and shops. They are getting away from the Blacks who are causing 90% of the crime everywhere else in the World. Check it out as a place to visit because it has some awesome Historical places and some very cute animals like Devils, Wombats and Platypus. |
