I wonder who called the cops?

My late husband used edibles and smoked some weed during his terminal cancer. It helped for a little while. It is illegal here in Indiana, but friends and family kept him supplied anyway.
The way I feel about it, ANY drug that can ease the pain or anxiety of a terminally ill person, like my late husband, should be available to them.
FTR, I am totally anti-drug, but when it comes to medical use, I have no objection at all.

I think what this whole story highlights is the inhumanity in not providing comfort to people who are dying regardless of how deplorable they may or may not be.

Depending on your belief system a dying person is either going to judgement, worm food or a new life based on this life... I think the most telling part of our condition as a society is how we treat the old and dying.

I have a SIL who's father sexually abused her. There was a certain amount of healing (for her benefit) but they didn't maintain a relationship. When he was dying the PCU unit called as there was literally no one else and he desperately wanted to die at home. She did not go but asked my husband's brother to go and be with him as he died. He stayed around the clock for almost two weeks. I gained a lot of respect for both of them in that instant. I had it before but man I was just blown away by their faith in action.

Laws are laws. Let him leave the hospital.

Agreed. I was with my father as he died from a horrible cancer, and at shift changes they would fuck up his medication, and it would take days of unbelievable pain before the medication would catch back up again
So i am a bit jaded when someone defends this kind of behavior, it is satanic, and any cop that plays along with this deserves to feel that pain in person

Illegal is not illegal. You can't possibly be this stupid? It's illegal until it's not. It can literally be legal then illegal then legal again. None of it is set in stone. If it was we would be speaking Chinese. Alcohol one of the worst things for the human body was illegal. Look how that worked out. Shit is made illegal all day. Some Ham Radios are illegal. I don't give a fuck about the governments laws. I follow the constitution and everything else can burn to the ground.

The police used the excuse that oxygen was in the room. In the article I just posted above, the patient said he doesn't even need or use the oxygen, so it was not in use!

I still remember.....many years ago, when I was a student nurse, we had a terminal bedridden patient dying of lung cancer. He did need oxygen. Those were the years when there was a big green oxygen tank and a plastic tent in the room!

His physician's instructions was for us to remove the tent and turn off the oxygen whenever the patient requested it, so he could smoke a cigarette while in bed!! Yep...terminal lung cancer from smoking and still needing that cigarette while dying. If I could remember, he was in his mid or late 50's. Being very young, I was so amazed by it all.

I received a speeding ticket once when the speed limit changed from 45 to 35. 45 speed limit sign then 35 right after it.

Reporting for court, the room was filled with people.

One person said, "Do you know why they're giving all these citations? Because they're building a new police station/courthouse."

I got on medical marijuana when the doctors told me I had an inoperable tumor at the base of my brain. They said I could not get chemo or radiation because of the location of the tumor. If they operated it was a 50% chance of dying from the operation and 100% of brain damage if I survived. I went home and had a stroke. That is when I got on medical marijuana and DMSO. The tumors melted away and I am still going three years later.
