What is the oldest memory you have? . . .How far back can you remember?

Three. I had this train you could ride that my granddad bought me. You straddled it and depressed bar and it went around this little track that my dad put together in the yard.

Vividly remember playing with the Adventure People while watching reruns of Emergency around age four.

I have a memory from the first house I lived in with my parents. I remember I was lying on my parent's bed and my teenaged cousin was taking pictures of me and trying to make me smile. I brought it up to my mom years later after I had kids of my own and she was freaking out that I remembered that. She went digging in boxes in her closet and brought out a box of photo albums and flipped through them until she found the pictures- I was a baby in diapers, maybe 6-8 months old!

Me too. Born Oct 1960. Second memory was my grandmothers funeral in the spring of '64.

Sometime before preschool age, I recall being in an empty room with picture books to play with. When I was needing parental attention, I began pushing the books under the door.

So.. maybe, 3. I'm 61 now.

The earliest is from when I was 3. It was my father's birthday. We had guests in the "old"(small) apartment. One of the guests asked me, "How old is you dad?" and I ran to my father and asked him "Papa, how old are you?". My father tells me that he is 39(he was 36 years older then me).

I also have memories of my grandma watching me, teaching me, telling me stories. My mother going to work and waving because I asked her to(I cry, but she has to go to work). They are from around that time-frame, but my father's birthday memory feels like the earliest one.

For some reason I remember all the negative or scary stuff.

The Exorcist trailers showing when it was first released.

This reminds me of my grandfather trying to explain that, that little silver bird in the sky was my daddy.

In reality, Dad was in the army in Korea.

So when ever I looked up and saw the odd bird. I would wave to my daddy. :)

I think I remember a dream. Little puffy clouds I was afraid to touch all in my back yard. except along the path to the incinerator. I was 3 or so.

The whole thing starts from about 2, and I only know that because I remember someone asking my mom how old her kids were.

When I was under one year old. I remember being in my cot and my elder sister drawing on my head with red pen, my dad coming in and laughing, and my mother coming in and telling them both off.

I did that to the metal levelor blinds and my brother’s balsa model airplanes.

I was nicknamed Bucky beaver back then.

Crawling on orange shag carpet before I could walk and a baby gate blocking a stairwell that went dumb to somewhere. I think I was maybe 4 to 6 months /shrug

When I was seven I slipped going up stairs and actually bit my tongue in half!

I hit my heah on the corner of the console tv. Ouchie!

13 months. It was Christmas and my Mom was crying because we'd just moved a few States away and she missed her mom.

I was a baby, unk how old, over my mom's shoulder looking into the backseat of a vehicle. When I described it to my mom, she said that was a car that was gotten rid of when I was about 9 months old (it was an early model 50's brown Ford) but the blanket I described was used when I was younger. I remember several other things before I was a year old. Lots before I was 3.

When I was 2, I had a bad bout of pneumonia and asthma. Back then they put little ones in an oxygen tent. I was able to describe it exactly when I was older. I could see a woman (later told it was my mom) sitting in a rocker outside of the tent/crib rocking. Couldn't see her clearly as the tent wasn't clear plastic.

A month before I turned 2. I kno because it was a Christmas thing and my mom was pregnant with my sister. I remember riding a little train and hugging Winnie the Pooh.

LOL, this brings a memory from when I was 6. We just moved to the new apartment, and had moving boxes set in the corridor. On top of these boxes was sitting "my" teddy-bear toy.

The only problem was that I never "accepted" the toy and was always afraid of it. But I needed to through the corridor right by that scary bear, and fetch something for adults. So, I gathered all my bravery, closed my eyes and run by that bear. :)

I remember seeing that toy one more time, when I was a teenager. The teddy-bear was actually cute.

A little over 1 year. Was in my crib standing, only had my diaper on, holding my bottle. I threw it on the floor, and my brother picked it up and gave it to me. I thought it was funny, did it two more times, and then he walked out leaving my bottle on the floor. I started crying, he never came back. I cried myself to sleep, and I remember waking up.

After that, I have a lot of memories starting at 3.

i remember looking up at the sun through a window and asking me ma why is it spelled sun and not son? i think she was taken aback a bit. i was probably 3 years old back in 1980.

I remember my dad and next door guy trying to teach me,around 5 or so...

Once i figured it out,for 1 last time,i rode into a bush,on purpose and crashed,to say ...AH HA ...I GOT IT...but at the time my dad said to the kid trying to teach me .....Hes not getting it...Which i happen just to ..GET IT...At that time,like a light bulb popping on...Thats why i crashed,ON Pupose just for the last time...

My youngest memeory is wow...so many times,i get confused,i remember weekly parties across the street at night in fontana ...when i was 4 or 5,praying to God when just 4 or so all the time...still do that...

No time stamp really...i remember when i was young thats for sure...remember almost drowning in my dads fish pond he made in the back yard as my sister was supposed to be watching me,like 3 years old...water was only 2 feet deep...lol...so many things i remember...

I have time capsules in my mind just locked in....

The Brain is amazing computer,the best ever built thats for sure...All thanks to Almighty God!
